As a physician not in the field of orthopedics, a father of 3 sons who play baseball, and trained (MS) but not practicing in the field of biomechanics/sports science, I recognize Eric as essentially defining a new specialty among the allied health fields. He’s better than many physicians and therapists because he intersects with athletes as they train, thus closing a very important feedback loop most clinicians are not able to observe. He does all this while clearly honing outstanding clinical knowledge that he brings to the gym. Listening to his podcasts has been highly beneficial to me clinically, as a youth coach, and as a Dad. Even when something he discusses isn’t relevant for me, he’s a pleasure just to listen to intellectually. I’d add that one of my sons developed some nagging upper buttock pain. Just so happened that Eric’s spondylolysis podcast came out in that time frame and we were able to get him diagnosed and treated directly from my listening to that! In my opinion Every episode is a must-listen for coaches, therapists, s and c specialists, athletic trainers, and physicians who deal with baseball players.
