    EU365: The Independence Agenda

In this episode, Pam, Anna, and Erika dive into a very interesting lens on parenting—the independence agenda. It’s fascinating to see how this seemingly reasonable goal of fostering our children’s independence can get in the way of not only our relationship with them, but their developing self-awareness and inner voice. We talk about how different […]

This podcast has changed my life

I am a parent to an 11 year old and I discovered this podcast about a month after I decided to finally pull my son from public school. I had known for a long time that public school would eventually not work for us, and I was desperate to find any resource to help in the decision. Not only did I have ten thousand questions about what to expect, but I also needed to hear from other people who had done this to tell myself that what I was doing was okay.
(I’ve even shared several of these episodes to my closest friends who continuously challenge my decision to not depend on the public educational institution to prepare my son for the world, although they continue to turn a blind eye.)
I have found this to be the best podcast on unschooling as it answers these immediate questions I had as a parent. I love the episodes where she talks to graduated homeschoolers. She covers every ground on the subject of unschooling and I have become so much more confident in our (my son and I) decision to learn this way.
I am beyond grateful for this podcast!!!!

Love the podcast.

I love listening to everyone experiences and advice. Hoping to hear from black unschoolers/parents. I'd love to hear some experiences and advice a little more linked closely to my culture.
