    Send a text Many apologies to our listeners for failing to record a podcast last week. Dr Dave's cross country drive simply didn't square with David's comedy touring schedule. We are opening a search for a manager. It's a great gig. Non-paid. Meanwhile, it was only fitting that we were blessed by David's Pacino-like interpretation of his favorite verse as spoken by Moses. It was only a slightly veiled nod to Bad Bunny.

    Send us a text Mistakes happen when the risky thing we intended to do does not receive the careful attention it needs. So when Dr Dave—already experimenting with his facial hair—accidentally shaved a bunch of his trademark goatee, it now sits as a mustache deserving of the Old West. Or, as DrDR's wife warns, "Mr Monopoly is coming." Meanwhile, as David cackled and leaned in for closer looks, the missing veneer from his front tooth had his pod-ner (get it?) giggling. Too many visual distractions in this episode buried the lead: Applebee's new bacon-burger soaked in molten cheese is worth the trip.

We talked about which Patrick Swayze movie character might be helpful. It was weird.

David invested his time during the biggest worldwide party of the year learning such knowledge and we, loyal listeners, are always generous with what we discover.     Christmas Star Struck

    Send us a text This episode let David pay tribute to favorite actors and singers who crowded into his Christmas experience. We got caught up in the lovely imaginations of the season. How could Snoop, Jimmy, Mel, Chris, Mark and Andrea collaborate? Also, we imagined becoming more like active participants again rather than bewildered but smiling spectators. We may have encouraged one another to behave in ways that will earn eye-rolls from those closest to us. If so, mission accomplished.

    Send us a text In case you've lost track of time for your Christmas shopping, we're in countdown mode. Today is the last Thursday you'll have before December 25 hits you like a spoiled fruitcake. We tried to aim this episode as public service, hoping to be helpful. But we're a bit inclined to chase shiny objects when we're chatting, so … you know. Lots of story telling today. Early hard labor work experiences that convinced us to find other ways to make money. Family. Faith. And a eureka moment where David imagined the perfect gift for St Betsy. HBJ!!
