My Personal Spring “Detox” - Why I Invite Detoxification in the Spring

Detoxing has become such a marketing fad that I think we have lost the meaning and importance of the word and what it actually means for our bodies. In truth, the true ways to detox don’t revolve around a certain supplement or tea or product. Detox begins within. There are three main things you can be doing to support your body’s systems for detoxification and that is general nourishment with nutrient rich foods, regular bowel movements, and reducing stress. Your nutrition supports your ...

“Feral” Herbalism, Plants Aren’t Scary, Natural Haircare, Sovereign Beauty & Getting Over Our Fear of Nature with Arielle de Martinez

There has been a long developed stigma surrounding herbs and their uses in our lives. Common marketing surrounding herbal remedies is often stamped with confusing labels like, “Not FDA approved” and “If pregnant or breastfeeding, consult a physician.”What society has forgotten is that these herbs are the plants that our creator gave to us on this planet. They all have a purpose in our lives, from healing to beauty and everything in between—and they shouldn’t be considered dangerous if you are...

Anima and Animus: Feeding the True Feminine Instead of Conforming to the Male Anima

Media has always had the power to shape our outlook on life and even how we choose to behave. I recently rewatched Sex in the City and identified how it so wrongfully shaped the definition of femininity in the late '90s and early ‘00s, by portraying empowered women operating under the guise of masculine energy.Along with this, which arguably gave an extra boost to the feminist movement, we have a new spin on the definition of femininity that is coming from what is portrayed on social media be...

Sooo good

I love coming back to this podcast to balance out all the nonsense I hear elsewhere. Jess’s wisdom always resonates deeply with me. Thank you! More tangibles would be helpful personally, though i understand why you don’t usually lean that way

Grateful

I am so grateful for all of the soul filled conversations. I will have to listen to the last episode at least two more times until I fully absorb all of it. It's refreshing that Jessica does the work and thinks for herself. We all need this medicine right now!
