    22. Resiliency Means What Again?

    22. Resiliency Means What Again?

Resiliency is a common word we hear when we start to heal our trauma. And it's one that I always forgot the meaning of.
Does that happen to you? You hear a word, it makes sense and then when you hear it again, you don't understand how it applies to you or your trauma healing?
Today, I share a little about my journey with this word and the different phases I see myself and my clients going through in the space of resiliency during our trauma healing.
A basic definition of resiliency means being able to 1- feel sensations & emotions in our body, 2- let them come up, and 3- trust and know that we can come back to a regulated safe place in our body once again.
So when we are resilient, we are able to feel our stuff, our body, trust it’s ok and be able to regulate within our nervous system again.
I invite you to listen and see what phases of resiliency you have expereinced in your journey to heal trauma. And if you need help with understanding your resiliency or more tools to gain resiliency, check out my calendar and sign up for a free Internal Power Chat using the link below.

    20. Day 2 of My 3 Day Challenge for Get Into Your Body

    20. Day 2 of My 3 Day Challenge for Get Into Your Body

The first week in March I did a 3 day challenge and invited people to join me for a Get Into Your Body for 30 minutes each day series. It was so much fun! And so I wanted to share some of it here on the podcast.
Today I share what we did for Day 2. We focused on releasing stress or tension in our chests. The practices I shared are some of my favorites. They are ways to offer ourselves acceptance of where we are, not seeking to change it, but acceptance of what our present moment expereince it. This can often give us some space to offer our body a chance to release, if it is ready to do so.
I invite you to follow along with this episode and see what information your body might want to tell you as you pay attention to anything that might be happening in your chest.
    Enjoy!
And if you liked it you can find the other 2 days on my Instagram   https://www.instagram.com/stories/highlights/18041692135612563/
And the link to sign up for my monthly class at the end of March is   https://camibirdno.com/monthlyclasswaitlist/

    19. Therapeutic Yoga for Trauma Recovery - Bonus

    19. Therapeutic Yoga for Trauma Recovery - Bonus

Yoga is often talked about as a way to heal trauma. Dr Arielle Schwartz brings polyvagal theory into her therapeutic yoga for trauma recovery and I LOVE her approach.
In today's epidose, I discuss some things Dr Schwartz shares about the power of healing trauma through yoga. I also share why I was drawn to this specific tool and how I think it helps by offering a few practical examples of yoga poses that offer this healing.
I invite you to listen and see how your body responds. Perhaps Yoga is a tool you'd like to add or learn more about for your healing. And if you'd like my helps, please reach out.
You can also join my 3 day challenge March 6-8 to get into your body. I will be adding some of the yoga techniques there.

    18. When the Idea of Healing is too Much

    18. When the Idea of Healing is too Much

Have you ever thought I can’t do trauma healing, trauma healing isn’t for me, that seems like too much or another version of this idea?
If so, I invite you to listen as I offer that you have good reasons and I honor how valid those are.
I also share the challenge of awareness when this fear of trauma healing is present.
As you listen further I invite you to see if your body resonates with any of the 3 ways we can safely start to look at our trauma. Ways to safely and slowly gain awareness.
You can choose to look at your trauma or not. It’s a choice and I want to honor that.
And I’m hoping this episode will give you a little more insight and provide space for you to listen to your body for what step is next.
    Healing requires awareness.
You can do it when you are ready. And when you are, I invite you to join me for a free chat about what that might look like for you.

Something everyone needs to learn

Cami has a lot of insight to offer listeners. She is incredibly self aware and has a gift of teaching others how to heal. I think people commonly think they have nothing to heal from, but I would argue healing is something everyone needs to learn how to do.
