    #452 Is Szczecinski Ankle Lock the Scariest Ever? Polaris 38 -77kg GP Recap

    This week on the show, Maine and Miranda recap the Polaris 38 Welterweight GP, plus the Womens Bantamweight title match.  In the news section of the show we discuss ADCC entrants and the missing champions in the 2026 event.  In the recap section of the show, we discussed every single match in the men's Welterweight GP.  In the Quarterfinals we broke down Mateusz Szczecinski vs. Deandre Corbe with Szczecinski taking the match with a second round shotgun ankle lock. In Michael Liera Jr. vs. Carson Coles we talked about the IBJJF style game from Leira to take a decision distance. In PJ Barch vs. Taylor Pearman, we talked about the passing attempts of Barch to take a decision win.  In Tommy Langaker vs. Sebastian Patyk we talked about the round one and round two back and forth with Tommy escaping an early triangle thrown up by Sebastian, then countering it immediately with a Darce choke. Then in the second round, Tommy nearly securing the back, followed by Sebastian securing the back and threatening the finish. Pushing the mash into overtime where Tommy was able to take Mount in the dying seconds of the three minute overtime. In the Semifinals we talked about the 35 second shotgun armbar finish from Mateusz Szczecinski vs. Michael Liera Jr. In PJ Barch vs. Tommy Langaker we talked about the back take RNC finish from Barch in the first round.  In the final we talked about the rubber match between Mateusz Szczecinski Vs PJ Barch. We broke down the dynamic of the match with Barch attempting to pass and Mateusz looking to enter into submissions for the full 15-minute regulation period. With Mateusz winning a decision and taking the welterweight title and the $30,000 prize.  In our recap of the co-main event  for the vacant bantamweight title Sarah Galvão Vs. Zara Di Tofano. We talked about the heavy pressure from Galvão, and her double under to Darce finish late in the first round to take the title.  Recorded 7-13-2026

    #449 Was UFC BJJ 9 The Most Mismatched Card Yet?

    This we on the show Maine and Adam recap the UFC BJJ 9.  We run through every single matchup on the card and discuss how many first round finishes took place and overall the general matchmaking that led to that outcome.  We kick it off recapping the Light Heavyweight title Mason Fowler vs Devhonte Johnson that had mason Fowler win via Rear-Naked Choke after a single arm drag in the first round.  In the Co-main event Gilbert "Durinho" Burns vs Horlando Monteiro also ended in  Rear-Naked Choke in the first round.  In Nick Rodriguez vs Joao Nicolite we talked about Nicky Rods body lock passing and turtle attack to a first round Rear-Naked Choke win.  In Ffion Davies vs Amanda Bruse we talked about Bruse initial triangle from the back sequence then Ffion escaping to top and passing to the back then finishing with an Armbar in the first round.  In Bella Mir vs Nichelle Johnson we talked about the two rounds of control Bella had ending both rounds on the back looking for the RNC then finishing with a Kimura to Armbar transition in the third round.  In Achilles Rocha vs Filipe Pimentel we talked about the quick pace and first round  Heel Hook win for Achillies.  In John Chandler vs Raphael Ferreira we talked about the come from behing third round last second Triangle Choke win from Chandler.  In Mourece Ramirez vs Victor Delibero we talked about the back and forth and  Unanimous Decision the for Ramirez the only decision of the card.  In Ana Lima vs Amanda Mazza we talked about the Violin Armbar finish from Ana.     #445 Was UFC BJJ 8 All Mismatches? Event Recap

    This week on the show, Maine and Corey recap the UFC BJJ 8 headlined by  the Bantamweight Title fight Mikey Musumeci vs Kevin Dantzler.  In the recap section of the show, we kick it off, talking about the third defense of the bantamweight title by Mikey Musumeci we discussed the lead to the match and be very quick leg lock sequence that Mikey hit to win. We then discuss some possible opponents or potentially Mikey moving up to featherweight to continue his reign of dominance against additional competitors. In our recap of the Co-Main Event for the Women's Bantamweight Title Cassia Moura vs Sabrina Gondim, we discussed some of the takedown back-and-forth in the first round and then discussed the fantastic back cake sequence from Cassia to win and defend her belt for the first time with a rear naked choke.  We breakdown William Tackett vs Manuel Ribamar, discussing the heel hook finish and set up from William Tackett and discuss the speed of Ribimars defense when Tackett throws the sub. We discussed the debut of Ethan Crelinsten vs Danilo Moreira, we talk about his fantastic back, take and quick rear naked, choke victory, and now that he is in the UFC BJJ system how much we would like to see him, contend for the lightweight title as soon as possible.  We discussed the rematch between Derek Rayfield vs Jett Thompson, we talk about Jett's passing and mount game and the very interesting defensive responses from Derek. Then the Caio Terra ankle lock finish from Jett late in the match.  In the rematch between Landon Elmore vs Keith Krikorian, we talk about Keith, preventing the leg lock entries from Landon and then dominating in top position all three rounds for a clean, unanimous decision. We discuss the rear, naked, choke victory in the Liam Crelinsten vs Max Livingston match, that saw Liam make a commanding debut. We also briefly discussed the odd standups and draw in the match between Azamat Bakytov vs Thomas David. Recorded 5-22-2026
