    Hi friend!
    So before I bring you all the truth bombs on this Monday, I want you to know just how much I am thankful for you! It's days like today, where I am reminded how blessed I truly am. It's days like today, where I get to show up here for you & remind you how blessed you truly are too!
    Yesterday at my oldest son's baseball tournament, I got the opportunity to talk about Her Best Self Co. & all that we are doing in the business to love on women all across the globe. I felt empowered, honored & proud to share love on another woman as I cheered my son on from the sidelines. It was a remarkable day! But I was reminded that not so long ago, I myself was trapped. I had to hit rock bottom & rebuild my life...I had to make an AGREEMENT with me. 
    Fast forward to the present, I'm in awe of how amazing it is to love on you sweet friend & provide inspiration to you. Inspiration that I longed for when I was struggling with my eating disorder.

    Oh, & yes, I forgot to mention my son's team won the big trophy & you would have thought it was one million dollars in cash! Those 10 year old faces dripped with sweat & bliss.
    They were champions! Winners! They grew a little bit wiser & with a little more confidence, as they cheered, huddled & cried on the field after the game.
    But before they became champions, they had to stand in agreement of exactly what they wanted. & the same goes for you sis!
    Today on the podcast, I share with you the MOST powerful commitment you will EVER make with you! This one is oh so good! (& yes, I'm sorta bias)

    You see, if you struggle with thoughts about food controlling your life, then you have most likely spent so much brain energy arguing for your limitations & standing in agreement with the enemy.

    How is it Thursday already? I can't even!
    All I know is it is HOT here in Virginia & I am loving the start of summer vibes! But let me be for real....this mama is not ready for the summer schedules. Oh my how it is transition time!
    Both of my boys are in camps (thank you baby Jesus!) But at the same time, I cannot believe my oldest is going into 5th grade & my youngest just graduated from Kindergarten. Time flies way too fast! (insert mom tears)

    All the recent transitions had me thinking about the stages & the phases of recovery from an eating disorder.

    Since I receive a ton of emails with questions from listeners of the HBS podcast, I thought I'd start recording episodes from time to time to highlight specific questions you ask me directly!
    I'm calling this "Coaching over Coffee" because I want you to feel as though we are chatting over a cup of amazing java (or if you are a tea queen that is cool too, I won't judge!)
    In Episode 144, our very first Coaching over Coffee, I answer the question:
    "Have I Ruined My Metabolism?"

    Your body doesn't care HOW you think it should look, or what society says is best...your body simply cares about functioning at it's optimal state (& eventually it will do whatever it needs to do to get to that place)...what this doesn't mean is that if you begin introducing new foods or carbs you have restricted for some time that it will store these away and you will blow up like Violet in Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory.
    This my friend is what I call....fake news!
    Truth: your body isn't broken!

Light of Hope

I have had an eating disorder for 29years. I see a therapist and have had multiple dietitians. I ebbed and flowed through recovery, but I never reached a level of success that I had hoped for. I was starting to give up that hope and settle for the cage that I have been trapped in for so many years. The promising light of being recovered was starting to dim. But then this light started to flicker as I started to listen to Lindsey’s podcast, someone whose story that was so similar to mine! And she is recovered! I wanted what she had! Early November, 2023 I made my first consultation with her. After meeting with her I knew she was the piece that I had been missing for a very vey long time. Now it’s mid January, 2024 I am at a place in my recovery where I have never been before. My light of hope is on fire! I see myself living life without limits, not only with food but with opportunities, goals, and dreams coming true! Lindsey because of your hard work and your recovery I get to experience such freedom! Thank you from the bottom of my heart! If you are on the fence about having Lindsey as a coach…jump. You will have no regrets.
