History of Westeros (Game of Thrones)

Not only am I impressed with the actual content but the amount of content produced for a fictional universe. I imagine a new book in the main series was expected sooner than 16+ years and counting but even without it, this crew produces entertaining shows on a frequent basis. Bravo. If you like the game of thrones universe these are a fun listen.

I’m only listening to the re-reads, and they do a really good job of getting into the literary elements/devices and George’s inspirations and stuff. But they leave out a HUGE source: the music of the Grateful Dead. They mention every literary allusion, historical reference, etc., but they leave out the massive clues and references that come from the Dead’s song lyrics and have attributed stuff George has stated are GD references to other books/mediums. We all have our blind spots, but this is a huge one.

You all do great reviews, and I do enjoy your point of views. Please consider the female voice modulating her voice. She pushes her way into the conversation in a talking over and interrupting manner. She has a shrill voice when she raises the volume of her voice. Her reading out loud might make this a little more noticeable.
