Who’s story is it?

As an adoptee who found my birth parents over 20 years ago, I understand completely the longing and necessity of finding out who they are. Not knowing, and having requested information from the adoption agency, and realizing the person telling me this non identifying information had all the answers right there and I couldn’t see them, felt ridiculous and unfair.

These DNA tests make what was once a really difficult journey so much simpler. Having answers, no matter what they are, completes the life of searching and wondering for adoptees.

More and more often I also hear stories about men who have raised children only to find through one of the tests that they are not the biological father.

Nothing can take away the parenthood of the people who raise and love the children they adopted. That’s the most important thing to remember.

Disappointed fan.

I remember stumbling upon this gem 2 years ago and zipping through all the episodes. So imagine my disappointment when I hear that the rest of the episodes are not only going to be exclusively on Luminary, but have to be paid for. It’s a disservice to fans who’ve been waiting forever for new episodes, and as much as I ADORE Sarah Kay and was really excited to tune in, I’m left with the only option of having to subscribe to yet another streaming service. I’m sorry, but no, thank you. How about just teaming up with advertisement agencies and making it free for all, just like other podcasts do?

Frustrated

Great podcast with amazing stories and ideas. However, it’s really frustrating that we have to use another resource to listen to the additional episodes. Keep the podcast on the podcast app, please! 😕
