2 Black Girls, 1 Rose

I discovered this podcast because I have watched The Bachelor franchise from the beginning with my mom. I watched other shows they covered but there are some I started watching just so I could listen to their coverage. These two have me almost in tears laughing on a regular basis! I also think it’s very important for more white people to hear their perspectives. I always agree with them, but wouldn’t necessarily pick up on everything they do. Smart, thoughtful, great interview skills, and absolutely hilarious with insightful guests.

I really enjoyed your Love Island season 8 recaps until you began your most recent episode bashing Trinity & Aniya’s hair, I turned it off immediately I was so repulsed. Their hair had nothing to do with the show, as they made it to the top 2 & finale. As a listener and fellow Black woman, I’m really disappointed in your decision to shame the two unambiguous Black girls about things I’m sure they were hyper-aware of. As Black women, we hold our own to unfair standards. I’m taking a pause as a listener, your prior takes were cool and funny but that hair rant was weird.

The three stars are ONLY for Natasha!! I was about to drop this podcast because of the clear bias that is so obvious but I’ve come to realize it’s only from Justine. Yes women are the prize but when they are wrong they are wrong and need to be called out!! This latest episode on love island gave so much more than just men bashing from Justine. And bash where bashing is needed but EQUALLY! She sure is silent on “the core 4” when they clearly are acting crazy but Is still harping on KC, Corbin and Sincere. They obviously did wrong but so did the villa girls but it’s crickets from her bashing them. I guess she saves that for the casa girls… 🙄

As a white girl, I appreciate the hosts perspective on racial dynamics that play out on Love Island that I would not be able to recognize on my own. Also they are freaking hilarious!
