Online vs. In-Store Shopping | Hold Up with Dulcé Sloan & Josh Johnson

Great show!
So many different, intriguing categories under this podcast!
But during the “Hold up” podcasts, Sloan interrupts Johnson so much when it seems like he’s about to say something awesome.
Kind of a bummer
Deeply disappointed
I’ve long been a fan of the Daily Show and I’ve listened to this podcast every morning for years. I’ve loved the comedic lightness and dedication to the facts Trevor Noah and most of the guest hosts have brought to difficult subjects. But when I turned it on this morning, my opinion of the entire show plummeted.
To bring on as a guest host, after a lineup of the most hilarious, qualified, and trustworthy people in comedy, a man who was caught on camera committing sexual assault and was accused by a dozen more women, spits in the face of every host, crew member, and fan of the show. A man who has never apologized or even admitted to the assaults and has attempted to turn the story back on his victims and those who stood up for them, claiming himself, a serial predator, as the victim.
Does the Daily Show not care about the safety of the women who work there? You’ll notice no women were a part of his first episode. And, after a week of guests like the President and the Foreign Minister of Pakistan, his first guest is Lindsey Graham??? Just goes to show who he sees as valuable and deserving of a platform, other creepy old white men.
I felt violated by this episode. That a show I thought cared about the message they send to the world and who they give a voice to would give it to such a horrid man shatters any respect I had for the show or trust in what it’s reporters say.
keep the guest host format
with the guest host format, we get to hear a variety of views from people with different needs and interests. i really like that. every week i want that host to stay forever lol, but overall, the variety is really nice.
