    Episode 174: Validate Yourself

This week on The Black Men Think Podcast, we’re talking about something many of us struggle with: recognizing our own accomplishments and learning to validate ourselves without waiting for someone else to do it. The conversation starts with the fellas giving JD his flowers for the years of work he’s put into building Den Music Fest, a multi-city music festival dedicated to independent artists. What started as a moment of recognition turns into a deeper conversation about why it’s important to acknowledge the things we’ve accomplished, especially when we’re so focused on what’s next that we rarely stop to appreciate how far we’ve come. We also reflect on some of the biggest decisions we’ve made in our lives and how those choices shaped the men we’ve become. Interestingly, the conversation leads us to a shared realization: without our college experiences, many of the relationships, opportunities, and experiences that shaped our lives might never have happened. How much of our success comes from intentional decisions, and how much comes from simply being in the right place at the right time? And why do we sometimes need someone else to remind us that what we’ve built is worth celebrating? It’s a conversation about self-validation, personal growth, life-changing decisions, and learning to give yourself credit for the journey. Because sometimes the person who needs to give you your flowers the most is YOU. 👇 Join the conversation 📞 Leave a voicemail: 404-939-6477 🎧 Support the pod and get exclusive episodes on Patreon: www.patreon.com/blackmenthink
