(6:13) Drawing Closer: Slow Down And Be Still

Send us Fan Mail We share a concert memory that turns into a quiet invitation to slow down and be still before God. We read healing lyrics from the hymn “Slow Down” and reflect on how pausing can help us feel peace when life gets demanding or unpredictable.  • remembering Sissel’s rendition of Chuck Girard’s hymn “Slow Down” at a Pioneer Day concert  • connecting the hymn’s message to Elder Patrick Kieran’s Education Week devotional  • reading and rereading lyrics that point toward stillness, patience, and closeness to God  • naming the moments when life feels too fast, too demanding, or too unpredictable  • finding peace in the temple or by pausing, reflecting, and inviting the Spirit in  I urge you to watch his devotional. __________________________ Do you have questions or comments? (6.12) Faith in One Another

Send us Fan Mail When someone expresses faith in us, we are built up, made more capable of facing the challenges life brings. In this episode, I refer to someone who had faith in me who helped me along the way. I urge you to think of someone who has faith in you and then think of someone who needs to know that you have faith in them.  __________________________ Do you have questions or comments? (6.11) Drawing Closer: The 2 1/2 Minute Talk Returns

Send us Fan Mail I share the moment I froze as a kid during a church program and how that embarrassment shaped my commitment to speak anyway. I trace how two-and-a-half minute talks and a famous one-minute General Conference address inspired these Monday thoughts to stay brief but meaningful.  • freezing in front of everyone and feeling the sting of silence  • promising to never speak again and then choosing to try anyway  • learning through short Primary talks to say one clear thing  • remembering President David O. McKay choosing the one-minute talk  • admiring Elder Sterling W. Sill’s ability to deliver power with brevity  • packaging printed radio talks from Sunday Evening from Temple Square  • setting a simple aim for Mondays: meaningful and brief  I look forward to posting my next one for next Monday. Thanks for listening. And until next time, let's draw a little closer to God and to one another. __________________________ Do you have questions or comments? (6.10) I Want to Remain Unfinished

Send us Fan Mail We emphasize finishing a lot. We've got to get the project done. We don't want to leave it half-done. But when it comes to our life, we know our life will never be complete. We will always remain unfinished even throughout eternity because we are co-eternal with God.  __________________________ Do you have questions or comments?
