People are the Worst

I got hooked on this podcast a few months ago and listened to all the back episodes. Now I’m caught up and my favorite day of the week is Thursday so I can listen to a new People are the Worst! Rachel and Rebecca pick incredible cases to cover and do such a detailed job of researching. They know how to convey these stories in a way that has me on the edge of my seat the whole time. Love their banter, their humor and their heart! I hope they keep doing their own research when they make it big— while they mostly cover cases I haven’t heard before, the ones they’ve covered that I have heard are so much more in depth and fleshed out it makes the case feel new to me.

Hey ladies, a friend of mine recommended I listen to this podcast and she sent me the one on Bruce Lindahl. Just so happens, my boyfriend in 1977 went to Downers Grove North. I graduated high school 76 but stayed home for a year before college so was with boyfriend a lot - he lived in Woodridge and Downers Grove. We hung out with a lot of people from Downers Grove and Woodridge. I never knew about this guy, but there’s a TV doc called The Box. There were a few things in your podcast about this case that were a little bit different from the documentary. It’s just very creepy because so many of these places I’ve been to - who knows maybe Id even seen this guy! I also have the book you talked about which I bought in a local bookstore a couple of years ago! Enjoy your podcast! I’d of given you five stars, except for the little discrepancies from your story and the documentary! People are the worst!

They are the perfect combo of funny, respectful, and factual. It’s like listening to your well informed friends talking about true crime. No old cases, which I am very grateful for. They also don’t do stuff you’ve heard a million times. Just give them a listen!
