    In this episode, we talk about what it looks like to trust God when understanding falls short. Through personal experiences of loss, illness, long hospital seasons, and struggles with anxiety and depression, we explore the tension between wanting answers and learning to trust God when life doesn’t make sense. Scripture reminds us that God doesn’t ask us to figure everything out, He asks us to trust Him with all our heart (Proverbs 3:5–6). And when we do, He offers a peace that surpasses understanding that guards our hearts and minds (Philippians 4:6–7).     Bad news is everywhere. Turn on the TV, scroll your phone, or simply walk through your own life and it can feel like the weight of the world is pressing in. Sometimes the headlines are overwhelming, and sometimes the hardest news is the kind that happens quietly inside our own homes. The truth is, we were never created to carry the constant flood of information, fear, and heartbreak that surrounds us every day. But even in the middle of it all, there is still good news. Not the kind that depends on circumstances changing or everything suddenly working out the way we hoped. The kind of good news that never changes. Jesus. In this episode, we talk honestly about how heavy the world can feel and why the message of Jesus is still the greatest news we will ever hear. When everything around us feels uncertain, God is still working, still present, and still making a way.     In this episode, we reflect on Peter stepping out of the boat to walk toward Jesus in the middle of the storm and what happens when fear shifts his focus from Jesus to the wind and the waves (Matthew 14:22–33). We talk about bold faith, human weakness, and the grace of a Savior who immediately reaches out to rescue Peter when he begins to sink. This conversation is also personal, as we share how easy it is to focus on unexpected or difficult news instead of the goodness God has already shown us and how that shift can lead to fear instead of gratitude.     Hope for Today - When God Allows the Storm

    There are seasons when life feels overwhelming, when trials come one after another and you’re left wondering how you got here again. In today’s episode, we look at the moment Jesus intentionally sent His disciples into a storm and why that detail matters more than we realize. Jesus knew the storm was coming. He knew the resistance would be strong and fear would rise. And still, He sent them. Not to harm them, but to reveal Himself to them in a deeper way. In the middle of their exhaustion, Jesus came walking on the water, showing them that what felt overwhelming to them was completely under His authority. If you’re tired of pushing through, questioning how much longer you can keep going, this episode is for you.     Hope for Today - When God is the Answer

    In this episode, we reflect on the story of Job—a man who endured immense loss, suffering, and heartbreak, yet brought his pain honestly before God. Job’s story reminds us that faith does not mean the absence of grief, doubt, or questions. Job was faithful, but he was also human. He cried out, wrestled with anguish, and longed for understanding. In the end, God didn’t explain why Job went through what he did. Instead, God revealed more of Himself, and that revelation was more than enough. This episode is a reminder that while we may not always receive the answers we’re looking for, we will always receive the God we need most. In the midst of pain, loss, and trials, God’s love, power, and presence will sustain us and carry us through.
