    # 178 The Healthy Eating Lie: Are You Nourished or Just Eating Clean? | Chef James Barry

What if you're eating all the right foods… but still not giving your body the nutrients it needs? We've become a culture obsessed with what we REMOVE from our diets. Sugar. Gluten. Carbs. Processed foods. Sometimes entire food groups. But when did healthy eating become more about restriction than actual nourishment? Today, former celebrity chef and Pluck founder James Barry is back on the Know Better | Do Better Podcast to challenge one of the biggest misconceptions in modern nutrition: Just because you're eating clean doesn't necessarily mean you're well-nourished. After more than 20 years as a professional chef, cooking for celebrities like Tom Cruise, George Clooney, and Barbra Streisand, James shifted his mission toward helping everyday families rediscover the nutritional value of real, whole foods. And this conversation goes far beyond simply eating organ meats. We're questioning the illusion of healthy eating, the rise of restrictive diets, our obsession with isolated nutrients, and why some of the most nutrient-dense foods have practically disappeared from the modern American diet.  In this episode, we explore: * Why eating clean and eating nutrient-dense foods aren't always the same thing * How restrictive diets can unintentionally leave us undernourished * The forgotten nutritional value of organ meats, bone marrow, and whole-animal eating * Why the nutrients in real foods aren't always as predictable as nutrition labels suggest * Why our relationship with food has become so complicated * Practical, affordable ways to incorporate organ meats into everyday meals * How to make nutrient-dense eating sustainable for the entire family James also shares why he believes we've lost touch with our natural food instincts—and how returning to simple, nourishing foods might be less complicated than we've been led to believe.  🎧 Listen to the Everyday Ancestral Podcast HERE.  ✴️ Connect with James on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, or X 🧂 Grab your PLUCK Seasoning HERE for 15% off.     🔥 Own Your Wellness Revolution 🔥 Ready to ditch the status quo and reclaim your health?  Here's how to start: 🗓️ Snag a FREE 30-Minute Strategy Call Book your one-on-one with Autumn and map out your path to a stronger, freer you.  🌀 Shop Smarter, Live Cleaner Check out the 'Know Better | Do Better' Amazon Storefront for handpicked gear to fuel your healthy rebellion.  🛒 Grab the FREE Clean Swap Guide Download now and swap out the junk for healthier alternatives—no excuses.  📧  Join the 'Know Better | Do Better' Newsletter for exclusive guest drops, insider tips, and subscriber-only fire—hit subscribe!  🌟 Link Up with Autumn Stay in the loop and join the tribe:  Instagram  Facebook TikTok

#177 Gerson Therapy: The Nearly 100-Year-Old Approach to Cancer & Chronic Disease | Dr. Ryan Firchoff

For nearly 100 years, people facing cancer and chronic illness have turned to an intensive nutritional approach known as Gerson Therapy. But what exactly is it—and what does someone actually do on the protocol? Today I'm joined by Dr. Ryan Firchoff, a naturopathic physician at the Sedona Wellness Retreat in Arizona, a center built upon the legacy and traditions of Dr. Max Gerson. Dr. Ferchoff studied naturopathic medicine at Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine and has pursued specialized training in naturopathic oncology, Gerson Therapy, mistletoe therapy, ozone and oxygen therapies, IV therapies, and other integrative approaches. His clinical experience has also included training at the Gerson Mexico Clinic, and today much of his work centers around supporting people facing cancer and other complex chronic conditions. And Gerson Therapy is far more intensive than drinking a green juice every morning. The traditional protocol incorporates things like freshly pressed organic juices, supplements and coffee enemas. At the retreat, guests may also participate in additional therapies while learning how to continue the Gerson lifestyle after returning home. Dr. Ryan walks us through the philosophy behind the therapy, what a typical day actually looks like, why someone may consume the equivalent of up to 20 pounds of produce in a day, and why commitment to the protocol can extend far beyond a few weeks. We also discuss: • The history and foundational principles of Gerson Therapy • Why it became associated with alternative cancer care • The 13-juice-a-day protocol • What patients actually eat • Why coffee enemas became part of Gerson Therapy • What Dr. Ryan reports observing in guests with cancer and other chronic illnesses • What happens during a stay at the Gerson Retreat ...and much more! Dr. Ryan also shares several patient experiences from the retreat, including changes he says have been documented through laboratory testing and medical imaging. Whether you've heard about Gerson Therapy for years or you're encountering it for the first time, this conversation gives you an inside look at what this intensive, nearly century-old approach actually involves.  ✴️ Find the Sedona Wellness Retreat on Facebook, YouTube or Instagram 📖 Grab your FREE guide for podcast listeners HERE.

#176 The Lost Art of Osteopathy: What a Physician's Hands Can Feel | Dr. Christopher Brown

What if some of the clues to what's happening in your body could actually be felt through a physician's hands? No lab report. No scan. No machine. Today, we're going into the fascinating world of traditional osteopathy with Dr. Christopher Brown—and this one is personal for me because I've been receiving this type of hands-on care for nearly a year. Traditional osteopathy traces its roots to physician Andrew Taylor Still in the 1800s and approaches the body in a remarkably detailed way. Through years of training and palpation, practitioners learn to evaluate anatomy, movement, restriction and other physical findings with their hands. Dr. Brown takes us into what that actually means. We talk about why an injury from years—or even decades—ago may still matter, what an osteopath is assessing when they place their hands on your body, and the relationships among the skull, spine, sacrum, fascia, nervous system and body fluids. We also explore cranial osteopathy, why stillness and sensory perception are so central to this work, and the profound philosophy underneath traditional osteopathy: looking for health rather than simply chasing symptoms. Dr. Brown also explains the important difference between having "DO" after a physician's name and finding a physician who actually practices traditional hands-on osteopathy. If you've ever wondered whether there is more information within the body than a blood test or scan can capture, this conversation will give you an entirely different lens through which to look at health. ✴️ Connect with Dr. Brown on YouTube, schedule an appt with him HERE, or find him at the New Biology Clinic     🔥 Own Your Wellness Revolution 🔥 Ready to ditch the status quo and reclaim your health?

    # 175 What If You Never Bought Laundry Detergent Again? | The O3 Laundry Revolution

What if I told you that you could stop buying laundry detergent forever? No pods. No liquid detergent. No searching for the "cleanest" brand. No deciphering ingredient labels. Just water and oxygen. Sounds a little too good to be true, right? That was my question too: But does it actually clean the clothes? This week, I'm joined by Marissa from O3 Waterworks to explore aqueous ozone, or O3, and how their Smart Laundry System uses water and oxygen to create a cleaning solution directly within your washing cycle. We get into the questions that actually matter: What about odors? Stains? Bacteria? Detergent residue and buildup? What happens inside your washing machine? Why does the system use cold water? And how is aqueous ozone different from the gaseous ozone you may have heard warnings about? Marissa also walks us through potential long-term savings, the Smart Laundry System's boost mode, and their sanitizing spray bottle, which creates aqueous ozone using tap water. I'm personally bringing this system into my own home, so I wanted to understand exactly what it does, if it has limitations, and whether laundry detergent could really become one less product we have to buy. Could a machine on your laundry-room wall make detergent a thing of the past? Listen to find out! ✴️ Connect with O3 Waterworks on Instagram or TikTok   🔥 Own Your Wellness Revolution 🔥 Ready to ditch the status quo and reclaim your health?

#174 The Forgotten Cancer Theory | Dr. David Rasnick, Part 2

What if one of the most important clues about cancer has been sitting in the scientific literature for more than a century? This week is Part Two of my conversation with Dr. David Rasnick, a biochemist, biotechnology researcher, inventor, and longtime scientific dissenter who has spent decades studying cancer. David takes us into the chromosomal theory of cancer, specifically aneuploidy, an abnormal number of chromosomes within a cell, and explains why he challenges the dominant gene-mutation theory of cancer. We also explore the work of early cancer researchers David von Hansemann and Theodor Boveri, the fascinating history of William Coley and Coley's toxins, carcinogens, cancer testing, biopsies, and what David believes the scientific establishment has overlooked about how cancer begins and progresses. It's a conversation about cancer history, competing scientific theories, and what happens when researchers go back and question assumptions that have become deeply embedded in modern medicine. In this episode: • What is aneuploidy, and why does David believe it matters in cancer? • Cancer genes vs. chromosome imbalance • What carcinogens may do during cell division • The forgotten history of William Coley and Coley's toxins • Cancer biopsies and testing • Why David believes older cancer research deserves another look • The research behind his book, The Outsider's Advantage ✴️ Connect with Dr. Rasnick on YouTube & Odysee  📖 Grab his book HERE. 🌟 Link Up with Autumn Stay in the loop and join the tribe:  Instagram  Facebook TikTok   DISCLAIMER: This podcast is for educational and informational purposes only. #173 HIV & AIDS: What If the Settled Story Isn't Settled? | Dr. David Rasnick

Every once in a while, an interview takes you back to where a story began—and makes you question whether we got it right in the first place. When it comes to HIV/AIDS, today's guest was working in biotechnology in the San Francisco Bay Area during the early years of the AIDS crisis. It is truly an honor to have Dr. David Rasnick with us. David is a biochemist, biotechnology researcher, inventor, and longtime scientific dissenter who later served on South Africa's Presidential AIDS Advisory Panel. Today, we're taking another look at a subject most of us have been taught is completely settled. We're talking about the origins of the AIDS crisis, HIV, Robert Gallo, antibody testing, PCR, viral-load measurements, Kary Mullis, Peter Duesberg, and the questions David believes medicine stopped asking far too soon. Some of what you're about to hear directly conflicts with established medical and scientific consensus. This conversation isn't about telling you what to believe. It's about hearing a dissenting perspective, examining the questions being raised, and continuing to investigate for yourself. This conversation was so substantial that I've divided it into two episodes. This week is Part One, entirely focused on HIV and AIDS. Next week, Part Two will take us into David's decades of cancer research. #172 What an Ex-Pfizer Scientist Learned About the System | Justin Leslie

What happens when questioning one institution leads you to question the entire system? Justin Leslie is a former Pfizer formulation scientist who worked on COVID-19 vaccine projects before becoming an undercover investigative journalist with Project Veritas. But Pfizer was only the beginning. In this episode, Justin shares what he says he witnessed, what happened when he entered the world of undercover journalism, and why he eventually began questioning not only mainstream institutions, but some of the people and organizations claiming to expose them. We go down some serious rabbit holes involving medicine, media, science, Project Veritas, Bohemian Grove, institutional power, and the question at the center of it all: Who do you trust when everyone claims to be telling you the truth? We also explore the personal cost of Justin's journey and how, through it all, he ultimately found his way back to Jesus. #171 Worms for Crohn's? The Therapy No One Talks About with Kyla

What if some of the organisms we've been taught to eradicate might actually play a role in regulating the human immune system? Autumn is sitting down with Kyla of Let's Heal IBD to explore one of the most unconventional therapies we've discussed yet: helminthic therapy, the controlled introduction of specific intestinal worms. After years of living with severe Crohn's disease, Kyla had endured chronic diarrhea, bleeding, extreme food intolerances, vomiting, multiple surgeries, abscesses, a fistula, and periods when simply eating became incredibly difficult. She tried dietary changes, stress reduction, meditation, yoga, and other approaches, but says her health continued to deteriorate.  Then she discovered helminthic therapy. Kyla shares why she decided to intentionally introduce specific species of intestinal worms into her body, what happened over the following months, and how she eventually reached clinical remission from Crohn's disease, according to her medical testing. In this episode, we discuss: What helminthic therapy actually is Why not every organism classified as a "parasite" behaves the same way The proposed relationship between helminths and immune regulation How modern sanitation may have changed our exposure to intestinal worms Kyla's 13-year journey with Crohn's disease Her experience with surgeries, abscesses, fistulas, food intolerances, bleeding, and chronic digestive symptoms Why dietary changes alone did not resolve her Crohn's symptoms The specific helminths used therapeutically How helminths are introduced into the body  Why Kyla believes modern humans may be missing an important piece of their ancestral gut ecosystem Resources Mentioned  Helminthic Therapy Wiki A community-created resource for information and personal experiences surrounding helminthic therapy.  Helminthic Therapy Facebook Support Group A community where people interested in helminthic therapy share experiences and resources.
