Ep. 187 - Parasites, The New Boogeyman

A lot of health advice starts with a monster story: a “disease” is attacking you, and the only hope is finding the right weapon. We push back hard on that framework and replace it with something more grounded and less terrifying: the body is adapting to stay in balance, and symptoms are often the price of that adaptation. When we understand homeostasis, toxicity, deficiency, excess, and chronic inflammation, we stop chasing labels and start building real health. We also take on modern miracle claims head-on, including the idea that one hack like drinking hydrogen peroxide can “cure” serious illness. Instead, we talk metabolic reality: mitochondrial function, fermentation metabolism, and why chronically fermenting cells reflect a deeper loss of efficient energy production. From there, the conversation turns practical and personal through listener questions, from chronic eye inflammation to uterine wall thickening and confusing pathology reports. You’ll also hear detailed guidance on lifestyle medicine basics that actually move the needle: cleansing strategies like fasting or a vegetable juice cleanse, nutrient-dense plant foods, and how eating windows and sleep timing support the body’s cleanup and repair cycles. We discuss antiparasitic and antifungal tools with clear cautions about liver support and why they’re never a standalone answer. We wrap with rapid-fire Q and A on sardines, sourcing supplements, blood pressure, IBS and dysbiosis after chemo, COPD mucus, and dental hygiene like oil pulling and finding a biological dentist. If this perspective helps you breathe a little easier, subscribe to the show, share it with someone who feels stuck in fear, and leave a review so more people can find a calmer, more practical path back to health. Ep. 186 - Six To Eight Months To Live, And Why That Is A Guess

A listener writes in after being told they had stage four lung cancer and six to eight months to live. Dr. Lodi answers with arithmetic. Picture a doctor, he says, telling a hundred patients they will be dead by a certain date unless they do as he says: eighty agree, twenty walk out, and from that point the twenty are "lost to followup", so that doctor has no data on the ones who refused. "You're wearing a white coat, they call it a medical opinion," he says. "You're not wearing a white coat, they call it a lie." He calls a prognosis a prediction, and a prediction a guess. The longest block of the show stays with that letter. He takes the four stage system apart and argues that by the time one colony of what he calls chronically fermenting cells is found, others are already elsewhere, held back by signals from the dominant one, and a biopsy or a removal lifts that brake. He allows one exception, for surgery on a mass blocking a vital function or one that is extremely painful; on a biopsy he allows none. He files the big cancer centers together: "they're all Toyota dealers". The letter goes on to immunotherapy, Addison's disease and steroid replacement, and its line about needing meat for protein opens the protein argument, where his position is that we need not protein but nine essential amino acids, which he says the largest animals get from plants. As he puts it, "It takes seven lions to bring one elephant down." The show also covers itching and burning at night on a parasite protocol, whether AI will replace doctors, which he thinks it will while calling it "artificial idiots", a listener switched from pork insulin to a synthetic version who says they feel terrible, chronic lymphocytic leukemia and methylene blue, Crohn's, a tumor entangled in the brachial plexus in a listener with breast cancer, and non-alcoholic fatty liver. He ends on language, and on what he says he is after: restoring balance and health. Ep. 185 - Diets Run In Families, Not Diseases

Dr. Lodi breaks off the questions to ask the live chat to define the word disease, and reads the answers back: "an attack of a foreign entity in your body", a genetic mutation. He takes each apart and says nobody can define it, because there is no thing there. High blood pressure and insulin resistance, on his account, are adaptations to how a person lives, and what runs in families, he says, is the diet, not the disease. The question that leads into it is forty years of Lyme arthritis and painful joints. He separates acute inflammation, which he says is healing by another name, from chronic inflammation, which he calls a response to an assault that does not stop. On his account "we're all pretty much inflamed", and what he blames is cooking: heat, he says, turns food into something the body no longer recognizes. He cites Luigi Fontana's work on long term raw vegan eaters whose C reactive protein came back almost undetectable. He asks for a long juice cleanse, colon hydrotherapy, movement, and boswellia, ginger and curcumin. Two questions get sent for emergency care. A five year old vomiting for two days: the danger he names is dehydration, and if it has not resolved by now he says an emergency room or urgent care center for fluids. Asked if a severe breast lymphedema with infection warrants the emergency room, he says yes. The rest of the written questions: a lymphoma that followed anti rejection medicine, a listener wanting off a rheumatoid arthritis drug, and a couple who suspect parasites behind bloating and low iron, where he goes into stomach acid. The live chat stretch moves quickly, through a cavity in a wisdom tooth, lowering blood pressure, where he puts fasting first and adds "the best meal you ever had is the one you didn't eat", how he says B17 works and why he says the oral form can be fatal, and cryotherapy against radiofrequency ablation. He ends by agreeing with a commenter that fixing the gut fixes everything, then a worry that eating well only feeds parasites. "They don't want kale," he says. "We are dinner." Ep. 184 - His Answer On Iodine And DMSO For A Tumor Near The Skin

A listener with a breast tumor sitting just under the skin has already tried ozonated olive oil salve and calendula creams and wants to know what else can go on it. Dr. Lodi's answer, the longest of the show by a wide margin, is Lugol's liquid iodine with DMSO to carry it in. He takes Lugol's apart into potassium iodide and molecular iodine, two iodine atoms bound together, and says the molecular iodine does the work, by the same mechanism that made the iodine a mother once dabbed on a cut worth using. He argues it also shifts estrogen toward metabolites that do not stimulate growth. He says the DMSO goes on clean skin to carry the iodine in, and he warns it can irritate the skin enough that daily use may not be possible. He is plain about the limit: it only applies where a growth is near the surface and "it's reachable", not in the spleen or pancreas. He raises radiofrequency ablation, cryotherapy and histotripsy, then says none of it is the answer on its own, because if the toxins and the immune imbalance are left alone the growth comes back. Underneath it is his view of healing: "healing is not a transitive verb. It's not something you do. It's something that happens." The other questions cover a pituitary macroadenoma found on a scan taken for hearing loss in both ears, where he says an adenoma does not spread but that surgery is almost always the route; an inflamed bladder where a urine test found no bacteria, which he says is most likely the antibiotic already taken, and where he asks for a long juice cleanse; prostate cancer that has already spread, where he goes to bone; a rash on the neck, where he wants the real aloe vera plant, not a store product; two small benign liver lesions; autism and iodine; hot flashes on bioidentical hormones; and osteoporosis of the spine. Partway through, the camera and microphone fail and he sends everyone to Instagram while he restarts. He runs out of time on honey, dates and fruit and holds it to the following week. Ep. 183 - Lupus, Rheumatoid Arthritis, And The Names That Explain Nothing

A listener diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis five months ago writes in, and Dr. Lodi stops on the verb. "We might as well change the word to nailed," he says. A diagnosis, on his account, tells you neither how you got the problem nor how to get rid of it; its value belongs to the diagnoser, because the name lets them "stick you onto the sales algorithm." The longest block of the show goes to a listener asking about lupus. "Lupus looks like a wolf," he says, arguing it records only a red rash someone once saw. What is there instead, he argues, is not an immune system attacking its owner but one out of balance, tilted toward TH2, away from TH1. He asks whether the antibodies on a blood test caused the condition or followed it, and calls them a response, a downstream epiphenomenon. His evidence is a case of his own: a woman with a badly overactive thyroid he says he gave iodine, not the usual drugs. He says her symptoms cleared, her immune markers stayed abnormal for years, and he kept adjusting the iodine until those normalized too, his proof they followed the problem. He wants cleansing and medicinal mushrooms, and says emergencies are different: a broken leg or sepsis is what allopathic doctors are for. Before the mailbag, the chat asks whether his antiparasitic drugs are dangerous. All drugs are poisons, he says. With ivermectin and the benzimidazoles, he says, the liver clears them, so he tells people to check the liver first, and to have someone guiding them if it is already inflamed. Then a son who cannot function on antiparasitics, heart medication during a cleanse, stage four cirrhosis, and a fear that what killed a sister runs in families. Under it all: "There's only one way to get healthy, and that is by living healthy." The last question is from a listener with swollen ankles who has been fainting. Fainting could be dehydration, he says; it is the ankles that sound to him like congestive heart failure, a bad name on his account: it does not mean the heart failed. He adds it is not enough information to say. Ep. 182 - Lyme, And Why Bacteria Clean Up The Mess

Asked for a treatment for Lyme disease, Dr. Lodi says he does not like the word diagnose. He calls it "a word of sorcery", closer to a curse than a description, because the name then becomes the focus of a life, and he puts chronic Lyme in the same bracket as long COVID. That answer is the longest block of the show, and most of it argues germ theory has the order backwards. He describes the Lyme organism as a corkscrew shaped spirochete he says takes a dark field microscope to see, and says finding it would still not prove it caused anything. Bacteria do turn up in an abscess, but on his account "they're there cleaning it up. That's their job." From there it runs to Koch's postulates, Bechamp against Pasteur, what he calls Rockefeller medicine, and why he thinks nobody knows anything beyond their own perception. On top of whatever a person takes to kill something off, he recommends what he gives for everything: cleansing, juices, colon hydrotherapy, movement, biological dentistry, early nights and a short daily eating window. The rest runs through which iodine to put on a breast lump, where he calls the povidone iodine used to sterilize skin for surgery the wrong product and points instead to Lugol's solution and the brand Iodoral, while telling the listener that iodine is only one thing, not a program on its own; whether grounding has to be on grass, where his answer is any earth at all, sand, soil or a tree, nothing man made; a listener who says they feel something moving inside them and have been laughed at by doctors, which becomes his account of parasites inside the body against ones under the skin; and a gallbladder impacted with stones and sludge, where stones form, he says, the way salt drops out of water that can hold no more. The last question, whether someone on heart medication can do a parasite cleanse, he turns into what the liver already has to clear. He ends on "Aloha." Ep. 181 - Meningiomas, Ketosis, And The Carnivore Diet Nobody Is On

The first question comes from a viewer who has not managed solid food in four weeks and had severe chest pain when she ate. Dr. Lodi walks through the two sphincters of the esophagus, explains that the pain of a spasm there cannot be told apart from a heart attack, and says that with every scan and swallow test coming back clean, what is left to look for is a functional cause rather than an anatomical one. He points her toward a gastroenterologist who specializes in the esophagus and stomach, or a neurologist, and says it is hard to say. The longest block of the show goes to a woman who had a meningioma removed a year ago, with a fragment left near major vessels, and who says she eats mostly keto carnivore. He lays out what a ketogenic diet is actually for, argues that you can never starve a tumor of its fuel because the body makes glucose through gluconeogenesis and makes glutamine too, and cites a review covering 249 studies on meningioma in which a diet high in vegetables and fruit came out protective against developing one. Then he tells her that nobody she has read about is on a carnivore diet at all. "Carnivores eat animals alive," he says. "They don't take them home and barbecue them." What people are really on, on his account, is "a scavenger diet, which is a dog diet, which is eating corpses." From there the questions run through pearl powder, Parkinson's disease and intravenous glutathione, what the injected glucose in a PET scan is measuring, how high liver enzymes can go during a cleanse, and five years of POTS-like symptoms after living in a house with black mold. The last answer ends on rebalancing the autonomic nervous system. Ep. 180 - Healing Without Fear: Reframing “Cancer” As Chronic Fermenting Cells

Dr. Lodi opens on the rule the whole show runs on. He wants people to stop using the word cancer, because on his account it names an astrological sign rather than anything in the body, and what is actually there is chronically fermenting cells: cells that have lost most of their mitochondria and ferment instead of using oxygen. The questions sent in this week cover colonics during chemotherapy, where he wants the neutrophil count checked before anyone books one, peritoneal spread after nearly a year of treatment, a dull right sided pain that only hurts on breathing in, a blind spot in one eye that a doctor proposed injecting with a steroid, leaky gut alongside Hashimoto's, and rising ferritin in a postmenopausal woman who has been offered bone injections. Underneath every answer he puts the same order of work: a biological dentist first, then a long juice cleanse or a water fast, then plants only, eaten inside a short daily window with the last meal well before bed. The live half moves faster, through calcium, what to break a ten day water fast on, the radiation load of follow up scans, charcoal timing alongside antiparasitics, blood cancers, and a woman whose lymph nodes are hard and pressing on nerves, where he says the pain has to be dealt with before anything else can be thought about. Running through all of it is his argument about names. He takes each diagnosis apart into two words and keeps only the second: the difference between "renal cell, ovarian, brain, pancreas is the first word location. The second word is CFCs." A presumptive diagnosis, he says, is a guess, and calling a case rare only means it has rarely been found in that spot.
