In this episode, I’m joined by Maggie, the creator behind @pump.med and a medical student who knows exactly what it’s like to protect your health in a high-pressure season. We talk about why perfection is not the goal, how to find your “floor” with fitness, how to simplify meals without overthinking everything, and why your mental, social, and creative wellbeing matter just as much as protein and steps. If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, off track, or stuck in an all-or-nothing mindset, this conversation will help you make healthy living feel doable again. What happens when your body changes, but your brain hasn’t caught up yet? A listener wrote in after skin removal surgery and said, “I feel like I’ve been teleported into someone else’s body.” Honestly, I don’t think there’s a better way to describe it. In this episode, I’m talking about the messy middle of body change: healing, swelling, cravings, food noise, new clothes, scale spirals, and that uncomfortable feeling of not quite feeling like yourself yet. We’ll talk about why your body isn’t betraying you, why healing can feel so unsettling, and how to meet yourself with less panic and more curiosity. You open your phone for a quick break, and somehow 30 minutes disappear… By the time you put it down, you feel overwhelmed, behind, and worse about yourself. In the weight loss space, every scroll can bring another dramatic before-and-after, “this changed everything” claim, or account promising to have the answer.  So how do you know when your phone use has become a real problem? And how do you take back control without disappearing from the internet completely? In this episode, I’m joined by Schnelle Acevedo (known online as Glam Nellie), a digital literacy educator who teaches healthier screen habits. We talk about the hidden cost of scrolling, simple tools to cut back, and red flags to watch for online, especially in the GLP-1 and weight loss space. A weight-loss injection with results on par with bariatric surgery? With retatrutide, that is not an exaggeration. Although it’s not FDA approved yet, retatrutide is one of the most talked-about medications coming down the line. In this episode, I’m unpacking Eli Lilly’s new “triple agonist” medication, which targets three different pathways: GLP-1, GIP, and glucagon. We’ll talk about how retatrutide may help curb appetite, support insulin sensitivity, increase energy expenditure, and accelerate fat metabolism. I’ll also walk you through the standout clinical trial numbers behind the hype and take an honest look at tolerability, discontinuation rates, and side effects, including nausea, diarrhoea, and vomiting, so you can understand the full picture. A new GLP-1 has entered the chat, and I'm already seeing a lot of confusion around it. Meet Foundayo (orforglipron), a needle-free tablet you take once a day with none of the usual restrictions around timing, food, or storage. On paper, it sounds like the easier option. And for some people, it might be. But like most things in this space, the headline only tells part of the story. In this episode, I’m breaking down what you really need to know before considering it, from cost and access to drug interactions and what the latest trial data shows about maintenance. How to Hit Your Fiber Goal Without Overhauling Your Diet

Send a Text Message. Please include your name and email so we can answer you! Please note, this does not subscribe you to our email list, it's just to answer if you have a questions for us. The average American gets only about 10 to 15 grams of fiber a day, which is less than half the recommended 25 grams for women and 38 grams for men. Most of us don’t realize we’re falling short until digestion starts to feel off: bloating, constipation, sluggishness, and that uncomfortable “never quite right” feeling. If you’re on a GLP-1 medication, low fiber intake can matter even more, since constipation is one of the most common and frustrating side effects. So how do we close the gap without overhauling everything we eat? In this episode, I walk you through simple, realistic ways to build more fiber into your day. I’m sharing the foods and products I personally rely on, what to know about magnesium and probiotics, and how to spot supplements that may be helping your digestion or working against it.
