    The Murder of Sandra Birchmore

    Recap: RHOSLC S7E5 and E6, Hypocrisy & Bull and Boss Up or Shut Up

    Episode five focuses on day three of Bronwyn's San Francisco trip that was meant to culminate in a fabulous disco party where new and old friends meet her model boyfriend and celebrate a new chapter of her life . Instead, Lisa and DJ Meredith decide to drop a diss track without context and get kicked out. In episode six, Mary hosts a lunch to heal their rifts and performs a miracle, getting Meredith to apologize. Lisa, however, remains committed to her usual reaction to double down and even Mary realizes that, like a good lipliner, she won't budge. Also, Britney takes event flowers and remains focused on Bronwyn's real estate narrative, Whitney makes up with Ashley Quai, Angie continues to struggle with her marriage but won't burden Mary with her troubles, and Heather keeps getting away with lowdown, dirty deeds.     Recap: RHOSLC S7E4, Fortune and Misfortune, and The Golden Life Premier Party

    After a summary of what The Golden Life premier event in NYC was like, we jump back into a Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Recap. The women are still kicking off their San Francisco trip by kicking Ashley Quai when she's down, disarmed by the betrayal of Whitney. Angie confides in Heather that her marriage is struggling and confides to cameras about how bad its been. Heather continues to try to make Triflin' Tripp happen, Brittany grills Bronwyn, and Meredith remains a master of scowling. A trip to a vibrator museum adds some extra spice to a dinner that we already knew was going to go badly, with Lisa's lipliner is the uncredited housewife of this episode. We end with the Whitney/Ashley Quai fall out going strong and without any San Francisco peace and love on the horizon.     Recap: Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, Season 7 E1-3

    Catching up on Season 7 of what is arguably the most entertaining Real Housewives franchise on Bravo for a nice break between deep dives. In the premier, the ladies set their petty differences aside to support Mary in her time of loss and through her decision to remain a cast member alongside women she refers to as family. We also meet Heather's new-old cheater boyfriend and get up to speed on three women currently leaving their sub-par husbands, and one who almost did. Across the episodes, heartfelt moments and hilarity ensue as the group delves into their personal struggles while also bickering about ridiculous perceived offenses. By episode three, we have props, wigs (both costume and incognito), accusations, and tears. It's pure joy. Season 7 is starting off strong. According to her lawsuit, after reporting the incident and providing evidence, her case was never criminally investigated and she was never informed about outcomes beyond a separate Title IX process. This pod reviews that recent lawsuit against fraternity members, the bar who served her when underage, her sorority, and Cornell.     Books/Movie Review: The Love Hypothesis, Love on The Brain, and Not In Love

    Spoiler alerts are provided but listen at your own risk. An enemies-to-lovers, dating trope romcom? Yes, please. Having recently read several of Ali Hazelwood's STEM romance series, and just now watching the adaptation of The Love Hypothesis, this pod presents a review of each. It's understood that a movie will never be able to fully capture the nuances and detail provided in a 300+ page book, so the goal here is to critique the film as a stand alone work before comparing it to the book's plotlines. Those comparisons can be subjective, but specific choices did alter the book in a way that fundamentally changed the characters. Whether those changes were good, bad, or inconsequential is up for debate. Then, a quick synopsis and review of two more books I read, Love on the Brain, and Not In Love. While several elements remain constant throughout Ali Hazelwood's books, each one presents different scenarios and struggles that her lovable characters must overcome in order to find happiness. Along the way, witty banter, stellar references, awkward moments, and lots of yearning make for a great read.
