    Missouri's Love Affair with Baseball!

Missouri's two professional baseball franchises have stirred the passion of baseball fans since the St. Louis Cardinals' founding in 1892; when Kansas City was awarded an expansion franchise in 1969, Ewing Kauffman's Royals sought part of the spotlight and allegiance of Missouri baseball fans.  St. Louis is a storied franchise from Rogers Hornsby and Dizzy Dean through Bob Gibson and Albert Pujols and 11 World Championships!  Kansas City has boasted 2 World Championships and Hall of Famer George Brett among their highlights!  Our panel includes Seth Herrold, longtime sports editor at the Trenton Republican Times and Kameron Cool, Assistant TMS Principal and former coach, plus a cameo from a friend of the program, Jeff Rivas, reminiscing about growing up loving Cardinal baseball in Webster Groves.  If you like stories about Cardinal announcers (Jack Buck and Mike Shannon) or writers such as Andy McCullough, Bill James and Rany Jazayerli who chronicled and/or were fans of the Royals, you will enjoy this freewheeling discussion.  From boyhood memories to discussion about the role of technology and statistics in the modern game we cover all the bases!
