#60: Dr. Jennifer Reid - You don't need filler in your labia, Divorce and Perimenopause & Who actually needs GLP-1's

If you’ve been feeling exhausted, overstimulated, anxious, disconnected from yourself, struggling with weight changes, brain fog, low libido, or just wondering “what is happening to me lately?” this episode is going to hit home. In this incredibly honest and eye-opening conversation, I sit down with functional medicine expert Dr. Jennifer Reid to talk about the reality of perimenopause, hormones, gut health, stress, inflammation, and why so many women feel dismissed when they know something in their body feels off. We dive into how environmental toxins, lifestyle, nutrition, sleep, and chronic stress are impacting women’s health in ways we were never really taught to understand, and why personalized medicine matters so much. Dr. Reid breaks down complex health topics in a way that feels approachable, empowering, and deeply validating. We also get into the conversation around GLP-1 medications, metabolism, muscle health, libido, relationships, and what it actually looks like to support your body long-term instead of constantly fighting against it. This episode isn’t about chasing perfection. It’s about understanding your body well enough to work with it. More than anything, this conversation is a reminder that women deserve to feel informed, supported, energized, connected, and well. If you’ve been feeling unlike yourself lately, I think this episode will make you feel a whole lot less alone.

Cultivate #11: You Didn’t Find It, It Found You: Breaking the Habit of Mindless Spending

ASK BEFORE YOU BUY APRIL You guys know I'm all about saying the quiet part out loud… so, let's just admit that we’re not just spending money, we’re chasing a feeling. Half the time, we didn’t even come up with the idea to buy it. You didn’t find it. It found you. Yikes. Because we’re on these apps every day, and they are literally built to study us and sell to us. They know what we like, what we pause on, what we’ve bought before… so when something shows up and all of a sudden it feels like "omg, how did it know I needed this?!?" it’s not random. Big tech knows us, and let's just say there's basically a file with your name on it that tracks all your online behavior. The late night Amazon scroll, the Target trip that somehow turns into way more than planned… all of it. It’s easy to brush it off like “it’s just $20” or “it’s not a big deal,” but when we actually look at it, those little moments add up (not even just financially). And if buying the thing actually fixed the feeling… we wouldn’t keep going back for more. That’s what this episode is about. I’m walking through Ask Before You Buy April, a simple way to pause, check in, and stop reacting every time we feel the urge to spend. We're not trying to be perfect, just more intentional. If you’ve ever added something to cart for no real reason… (Hi, hello, it's me) this one’s for us. And if you want to do this together, come join me on Facebook. I’ll be sharing the rules, the questions, ways to replace that dopamine hit, and a place to track what we’re not spending… which is honestly very eye-opening. Let’s just see what happens when we stop and ask why. Join me here: Katelyn Gerhardt

Cultivate #10: My 2026 Break Up, Stories of my Life, & Bringing Back Facebook

What happens when you break up with your phone… and suddenly your creativity comes rushing back? In this solo episode of Diaries of a Boss Babe, I’m sharing the unexpected magic that’s unfolded since I decided to dramatically change my relationship with my phone in 2026. What started as a small experiment turned into  a quiet door opening back up to creativity, storytelling, and the parts of myself that got buried under endless scrolling. Without the constant digital noise, I’ve found myself writing again. Really writing. Getting lost in memories, stories, and moments inspired by old photos and real life happenings unfolding right in front of me. And here’s the plot twist… While I stepped away from the chaotic corners of social media, I’ve rediscovered something surprisingly beautiful on Facebook. Yep. Facebook. What might feel antiquated has actually become the place where some of the most thoughtful, vulnerable, and fascinating conversations are happening. It's reminded me why connection on the internet can still be meaningful. In this episode I share a few of the stories that have poured out of this creative season... reflections on life, motherhood, business ownership and what happens when we finally give our minds some breathing room. If you’ve been feeling creatively stuck, overwhelmed by your phone, or craving deeper connection online… this conversation might open a little door for you too. And if you want to join the conversation, come find me on Facebook. We’re having some really good ones over there. Be a Boomer with me on Facebook, I promise it won't disappoint.

#59: Natalie Carruth: From Teenage Mom to Purpose Driven Life, Breaking Old Patterns, Walking Boldly In Faith

What if the moment you thought would break your life was actually the moment that set your destiny in motion? In this deeply powerful and heart-opening conversation, I sit down with Natalie Carruth, coach, faith-driven mentor, and founder of Activate Her Destiny Coaching, to talk about identity, healing, motherhood, faith, and the brave decision to become who you were actually created to be. Natalie became a mom at just 18 years old, a moment that could have completely derailed her future, but instead became the turning point that reshaped everything. It shifted her priorities, deepened her faith, and ultimately led her to the work she now does helping women reconnect with their identity, heal old patterns, and step fully into their purpose. This episode is for the woman who knows she is evolving. The one shedding old identities, questioning long-held habits, navigating relationship shifts, or feeling that quiet inner pull toward something bigger. We get real about grief, perfectionism, comparison, social media pressure, relationships, motherhood, faith, and the messy middle of personal transformation. Natalie also shares practical tools and mindset shifts that help women rebuild their lives from the inside out with honesty, grace, and courage. If you have been craving clarity, emotional growth, stronger relationships, or a deeper connection to your purpose, this conversation will feel grounding, inspiring, and incredibly validating. It is equal parts truth, encouragement, and the kind of loving perspective shift that reminds you growth is not about becoming someone new. It is about becoming who you were all along. Natalie Carruth is a transformational coach and the founder of Activate Her Destiny Coaching, where she supports women in strengthening their faith, understanding their patterns, building intentional habits, and creating lives aligned with their true identity and calling. #55 Jen Shepard: Burnout Biology, High-Performer Brains, How to Stay Sharp for the Long Run

What if burnout isn’t a personal failure but a biological signal asking you to live differently? In this deeply inspiring conversation, I sit down with Jen Shepard, a brain health and performance specialist whose journey took her from criminal justice dreams to helping high-performing women and parents protect their most valuable asset, their brains. We talk honestly about the hidden cost of success, the pressure so many women carry, and how chronic stress, overworking, and disconnection slowly erode our health, creativity, and joy. Jen breaks down the neuroscience of burnout in a way that feels practical, compassionate, and empowering, especially for parents trying to do it all. This episode weaves together brain health, parenting, emotional regulation, longevity, and purpose, reminding us that resilience isn’t about pushing harder. It’s about learning how to recover, connect, and lead ourselves and our kids with intention. We explore the power of social connection, why emotional regulation must be modeled not taught, and how technology is quietly impacting creativity, focus, and development in our children. Jen also shares simple tools like breathwork, the importance of sleep and consistency, and what longevity research and Blue Zones teach us about purpose, gratitude, and building a meaningful legacy. If you’ve ever thought “I caused this,” felt stretched thin, or wondered how to raise emotionally healthy kids in a tech-saturated world, this conversation will meet you exactly where you are. Press play now. I promise you will walk away with perspective-shifting insights and tangible nuggets you can apply immediately.
