The Line - Leadership to Membership

I’m thrilled that the IBEW is launching a new podcast. We’re at the beginning of one of the most profound transformations in the history of our electricity grid. The grid is the skeleton key that will unlock our transition off fossil energy, the energy that’s powered our country since the Industrial Revolution. The climate challenge demands that we build gigawatts of new clean generation and increase our grid capacity. Estimates suggest that a highly electrified economy requires the grid to double or triple in size! I believe this can be IBEW’s golden age; we’ll need tens of thousands of new electricians.
