    The Noble Dram | Carry-On Whisky: Shopping Duty Free (Season 3 | Ep. 2)

    Is Duty Free really the best place to buy whisky…or does everything just look like a good deal when you’re killing time before a flight? This week on The Noble Dram, Aaron is joined by a special guest - his dad, Tom - for a conversation every traveling whisky drinker has probably had while wandering through an airport: Should I buy that bottle now, or can I find it cheaper when I get home? Duty Free shops are packed with oversized bottles, travel exclusives, unfamiliar expressions, and signs promising prices you may never see again. But are those bottles actually worth dragging through three airports? Aaron and Tom dig into the world of Duty Free whisky shopping and talk about what travelers should actually be looking for before handing over the credit card. Of course, you can't talk about Duty Free whisky without pouring a couple bottles you don't normally find sitting on the shelf back home.
