No Ostriching Here.

The ReSisters

Welcome to The ReSisters’ podcast, “No Ostriching Here.”!   Christine Cooper and MJ Nabuurs have been cutting their chops in audio spaces for the last 3 1/2 years where they developed an international following and a reputation for being willing to talk about issues that many are more comfortable looking away from. In these more than 100 audio spaces, they have interviewed guests from all walks of life - from local non-profit organizations to one of the world’s most renowned aerosol physicists.   The ReSisters are the sharers of stories, people’s truths, facts and science, and the human condition, in all of its complexities. They bring an unwavering and unapologetic desire to make the world a better place to everything they do and do so with a splash of irreverence because their moxie won’t let them do it any other way.   Join them for some laughs, thought-provoking conversations, and……probably the odd curse word.   Time to pull those heads out of the sand!

Ep#9: Public HELLth, with Walker Bragman

The ReSisters have a compelling and frank conversation with investigative reporter and Executive Director of the Accountability Journalism Institute (AJI), Walker Bragman. They discuss with Walker the current and ongoing need for independent and trustworthy journalism, the immense political influence on public health in the U.S. and around the globe, and the dangerous impacts of groups like the Brownstone Institute on public health information, messaging and government policy.   Christine and MJ also get Walker’s perspectives on the evolution of right-wing narratives, especially during the pandemic, genocide in the trans community, and the rise of fascism. And, as always, The ReSisters pull out where the hope is - to help us all keep swimming.
