If you don't understand insulin, you can't understand fat loss.

What's stopping your fat loss? Find out with the 3-min scorecard: 👉 https://kevinboylecoaching.com/scorecard Why won't the belly fat shift no matter how hard you train or how little you eat? It's not your age and it's not a lack of effort. It's insulin. In this video I break down insulin and fat loss for dads over 40. Why most insulin advice is aimed at women or diabetics. How poor sleep, stress and constant snacking keep insulin high and lock fat in place. The signs of prediabetes most men miss. And what you can do to lower insulin, lose belly fat and get strong again after 40. In the US around 1 in 3 adults has prediabetes. More than 8 in 10 of them don't know it. There's no pain and no warning light. Just a waistline that keeps growing and energy that keeps dropping. Most dads think they have a willpower problem. They don't. They have a hormone problem. When insulin stays high your body is told to store fat, not burn it. Add broken sleep from young kids, long days and grazing on whatever's in the cupboard, and you've built the perfect setup for belly fat. Insulin isn't the enemy. It's a signal. Learn to read it and fat loss starts to make sense. In this video: ▶ What insulin actually does to fat storage ▶ The warning signs you might be prediabetic ▶ How sleep deprivation drives up insulin in dads ▶ Simple steps to lower insulin and lose belly fat I've helped dads aged 40 and over lose fat, build strength and rebuild who they are. I didn't want to make this episode but here goes...

What's stopping your fat loss? Find out with the 3-min scorecard: 👉 https://kevinboylecoaching.com/scorecard Why do you quit your diet, your training and your goals? It's not willpower and it's not a slow metabolism. It's the fear of boredom. In this video I break down the psychology of discipline for dads over 40. How constant stimulation, dopamine and your phone kill consistency. Why fat loss, habits and projects die in the middle. And how learning to tolerate boredom builds the self control you need to lose weight, get strong and stay consistent after 40. In 2014 researchers at the University of Virginia left people alone in an empty room for 15 minutes. There was one button in the room and it gave an electric shock. Two thirds of the men pressed it. We would rather hurt ourselves than sit with our own thoughts. We've swapped the old struggle of hunger for a new one. An aversion to silence. When the noise stops the brain panics and you reach for a distraction. A snack. Your phone. Another video. That's where most dads fall off. Not because they're weak. Because they never learned to sit in the empty space where the progress actually happens. Boredom isn't the enemy. It's a signal. Stop drugging it with content and start using it. In this video: ▶ Why willpower isn't your problem ▶ The 15 minute electric shock study ▶ Why fat loss stalls in the middle ▶ How to use boredom to build real discipline I've helped dads aged 35 to 55 lose fat, build strength and rebuild who they are.
