S2 E4 - Taking Jesus Beyond the Church Walls - Mark Koch

Send us Fan Mail What if something as simple as a skateboard could change someone's life and introduce them to Jesus Christ? On this episode of the Three Doves Podcast, I sit down with Mark Koch, founder of Ride Nature, to hear how his love for skateboarding, surfing, and action sports became something much bigger than he ever imagined. Growing up as a pastor's kid, Mark knew about God, but it wasn't until a season of rebellion in his early twenties that he began to truly understand God's grace and discovered a calling that would change the direction of his life. Just one month after getting married, Mark and his wife Shannon stepped out in faith and started Ride Nature, a ministry focused on reaching young people with the Gospel through action sports. Seventeen years later, that calling has taken them on more than 260 mission trips across 65 nations, with nearly 12,000 skateboards given away. From local skate parks in Southwest Florida to sharing the love of Jesus in places like North Korea, Mark has seen how God can open doors in some of the most unexpected places. We talk about faith, stepping outside your comfort zone, trusting God when the path isn't clear, and how something you're passionate about can become a powerful tool for reaching others. Mark's story is a reminder that sharing Jesus doesn't always happen inside a church. Sometimes it starts with a simple conversation, a skateboard, or just showing up and loving people right where they are. Because when God gives you a passion, He can also give it a purpose. S2 E3 - The Invitation He Never Saw Coming - Jeff Bristow

Send us Fan Mail Jeff Bristow didn’t believe in God, and he wasn’t shy about mocking people who did. But one classmate kept treating him with kindness. When she invited him to a Monday night Bible study, he went with a question: Why would she want him there? Within weeks, Jeff put his faith in Jesus and was baptized. His family thought it was a phase. Decades later, he shares how that faith carried him through a painful divorce—and what the book of Job taught him about trusting God when the answers never come. Jeff also talks about his novel, Drift, and how writing became a way to work through difficult experiences. It’s a conversation about kindness, unanswered questions, and an invitation that changed a life. Find Drift on Amazon and learn more at jeffbristow.com. S2 E2 - Faith Beyond the Ballot - Matt Caldwell

Send us Fan Mail What happens when life doesn't go the way you planned? When the doors you thought God was opening suddenly close? On this episode of the Three Doves Podcast, host Jason Pawloski sits down with Matt Caldwell to talk about faith, family, politics, and discovering God's purpose through life's unexpected challenges. Growing up in Fort Myers, Florida, Matt developed a strong foundation in faith that would eventually guide him through marriage, fatherhood, and eight years serving in the Florida House of Representatives. But after a disappointing statewide election in 2018, Matt found himself facing a different kind of challenge—learning to move forward when things didn't turn out as expected. Matt opens up about growing up with ADD, overcoming personal challenges, navigating temptation, and keeping his faith and family at the center of his life. He also explores some of Christianity's biggest questions, including free will, God's providence, and why suffering exists in the world. Through it all, Matt reminds us that our identity isn't found in our careers, accomplishments, or failures, but in our relationship with Jesus Christ. Whether you're facing disappointment, questioning your faith, or searching for direction, this conversation is a reminder that God's purpose for your life is bigger than any position or title. After seizures, NICU stays, devastating MRI reports, and overwhelming fear, Hannah and her family chose to hold onto faith instead of hopelessness. She shares the emotional journey of fighting for her daughter through therapy, second opinions, and constant prayer, while witnessing what she believes is God’s faithfulness every step of the way.  This episode is a powerful reminder that even in life’s darkest moments, hope is never out of reach. Ep 19 - Near Death, Near Darkness, Near Grace - Mario Lara

Send us Fan Mail On this episode of the 3 Doves Podcast, Mario Latta shares his incredible journey from the violent streets of Guatemala City to discovering the grace and peace of Jesus Christ. Raised in extreme poverty, surrounded by gangs, prostitution, addiction, and abuse, Mario grew up carrying deep wounds from childhood trauma and rejection. After coming to the United States at 18, Mario pursued success in education and accounting, but behind the achievements was a growing spiritual emptiness. His search for meaning eventually pulled him into self-help philosophies, New Age spirituality, rituals, and psychedelic experiences with ayahuasca. What began as a search for enlightenment slowly led him deeper into darkness. But God was still pursuing him. Through supernatural moments, repeated encounters, and the unmistakable call of Jesus, Mario began a journey out of deception and into truth. In this powerful conversation, he opens up about fear, identity, spiritual warfare, forgiveness, and how the grace of God transformed his life. This episode is a reminder that no one is too far gone, no darkness is too deep, and God’s grace still reaches into the broken places of our lives.
