50 Is A MindF*ck

Fifty is a Mindfu*k

What happens when you hit 50 and you realize that no one's really talking about the things that we're actually going through?Welcome to 50 Is A  Mindfuck. The good, the bad, the hairy, the ugly, and the beautiful. Let's go. When I started this social media journey at 50, there were really no people my age showing up online. At least not talking about the real stuff, at the same time, I was going through one of the hardest seasons of my life, which was losing my dad. I needed somewhere to put that grief and creativity, the grief, the confusion, the identity shift, the questions that just didn't have clean answers anywhere I was searching. I couldn't even Google these things back then. So I started talking. This show talks about everything that comes with this stage of life, the parts we don't always say out loud, aging, loss, relationships, reinvention, and even figuring out who you are when the roles you've carried start to change. I'm Wendy Ortiz. I've built a life, a business, a family,, and now I'm in the phase of asking deeper questions. I know I'm not the only one. That's the beauty of this. Each week, we have a real honest conversation with the kind of people that make you feel seen and maybe even a little uncomfortable, but also not alone. If you're over 50 or even just starting to feel that shift, this is for you because this phase, you guys, it's not just about getting older, it's about finally speaking our truth.

Parenting Doesn't End When Your Kids Become Adults | Anxiety, Healing & Hope

For years, anxiety dictated my daughter Talia's life.Panic disorder. Agoraphobia. Days when getting out of bed felt impossible. Intensive Outpatient treatment at The Meadows. Countless setbacks. And slowly... healing. In this episode of **50 Is a Mindf*ck**, Talia shares what it's really like to live with severe anxiety—not from the outside looking in, but from the inside. As her mom, I also share what it was like to watch someone you love struggle while learning that you can't heal them... you can only walk beside them. This isn't a story about an overnight transformation. It's about six years of showing up, doing the work, accepting help, and learning to live life one day at a time.If you or someone you love is navigating anxiety, panic disorder, or agoraphobia, we hope this conversation reminds you that healing isn't always linear—but it is possible. In this episode we discuss:* Living with panic disorder and agoraphobia* The impact anxiety has on families* Talia's experience with intensive outpatient treatment at The Meadows* The small victories that eventually become big ones* Why healing happens one day at a time* Hope for anyone still in the middle of the struggleIf this conversation helped you, please like, subscribe, and share it with someone who needs to hear it.#50IsAMindfuck #AnxietyRecovery #PanicDisorder #Agoraphobia #MentalHealth #TheMeadows #HealingJourney #ParentingAdultChildren #MothersAndDaughters #MentalHealthAwareness #AnxietySupport #Podcast #Over50 #FamilyHealing #Hope  @themeadowsoutpatientcenter311
