First of all, Stachiw is an annoying presence that is intolerable. Secondly, Without an opportunity to find the films, no recap of the plots, and no info on the reviewers, this podcast comes across as just inside baseball. Which is ashamed as White often has surprising access to behind the scenes personnel, and even the occasional star. But far too many times, the inane laughing at unfunny comments weigh the podcast down into sludge about a film you’ll never see or want to. Some episodes are pure gold, such as the Mad Max or Star Wars discussions, but others are tedious snobbery. Seriously, if all three reviewers don’t like Contact, why waste 2 1/2 hours bashing it? If there’s no redeeming qualities, why go on and on and on. If you’re looking for a good nap, take your chances. Otherwise forget this one.

Congrats on having well thought out reasons to dislike a kinda bad sloppy movie, you get those free with your prefrontal cortex. They’re great otherwise. Their coverage of classics, forgotten gems, and documentaries is second to none. Just maybe skip their reviews of anything that got a wide release in the last decade.

Perhaps most importantly, it achieves all this while staying wildly entertaining and thought-provoking. Bar none, the Production booth sets the standard for film podcasts, it’s only detriment being perhaps setting the bar too high. A masterwork like no other! Excelsior!!

Great choice of films - I like that they aren’t afraid to come down on commercial garbage movies - good stuff for people who are serious viewers
