Absolutely an earned five stars for this podcast. Years ago, in Covid times, I listened to my first podcast and had to keep checking my phone for the first half hour to see if it was actually a Notre Dame football podcast. I checked. It was.
I was born and raised in Alabama surrounded by Dixie math but fled the state to attend ND and subsequently settle in South Bend. I thought I had escaped their absurdist math moving to the frozen north, but it obviously still lives large in the state and has clearly bled into the CFB playoff committee. I guess I understand how they could struggle to comprehend such complex math concepts as “negative numbers” (as we saw with rushing yards vs Georgia). I believe learning about negative numbers is post-graduate level curriculum in the Bama. Also, we know the state doesn’t have a good track record with fractions. Fortunately, their math got easier this month since they can count their total points in the last two games on their little Dixie hands.
Seriously love the pod. You can’t beat the profanity-laden banter of decent guys dadding in the midwest and beyond who happen to love Notre Dame and college football even more than I do. Go Irish. Proud to have a team and a coach who act with integrity but aren’t afraid to sprinkle some football violence in the mix. Run it back for 2026.
