    Episode 2: The Rising Tides

Women’s Writes started with a simple idea: get a group of female songwriters together for a weekend to hang out, write songs, and actually get to know each other. What happened next became the theory behind this entire podcast. In our first mini episode, Parker starts with the accidental experiment that started Women’s Writes and falls in a rabbit hole that leads to the realization that friendship creates proximity, proximity creates creative preference, and creative preference creates opportunity. Because sometimes the reason the same people keep ending up in the room together is simply because they like to hang out with each other. Episode 1: Lauren Alaina on Songwriting, Motherhood, “Stages” & the Women Behind the Writes

In this first episode of Women’s Writes, Lauren Alaina joins hosts Parker Welling and Lydia Vaughan for an honest and inspiring conversation about songwriting, creativity, and the many stages of life. Lauren opens up about her new album, Stages, motherhood, and a brand-new collaboration with Kane Brown. She also shares the story behind a special song on the album featuring her brother and talks about the experience of recording outside songs co-written entirely by women. The conversation goes even deeper as Lauren, Parker, and Lydia dive into their own relationship as co-writers — exploring the creative connection, trust, friendship, and magic that happens when women write together. Whether you’re a songwriter, music fan, or simply interested in the stories behind the songs, this episode is a special look at the people and experiences that shape the music we love.
