    A father visits his son's art opening and realizes the bond they share is deeper than genetics, or maybe that genetics speak in surprising ways.     Two nerdy outcasts operate a submersible research bot in an alien sea, but the real mystery roams their Hell's Kitchen fire escape in the form of a small, dingy dog.
