There are lots of podcasts out there.

So why’s this one exist?

Because 99% of startup founders are getting bad advice, and it's killing their chance to build a meaningful company.

I didn't make that number up.

Less than 1% of all businesses raise Venture Capital money, and only a small percentage of those (again, less than 1%) end up becoming "unicorns." Yet that's all we hear about. How can you raise money? How can you build something attractive to VCs?

This podcast is for entrepreneurs that want to build real businesses. Businesses that are profitable, businesses that customers love, and businesses that will transform the founder's life.

We'll focus on early tactics that allow you to go from idea to initial product without relying on funding.

These tactics will come from founders of businesses that have done it - we'll interview the founders of companies like Brooklinen, The Wirecutter, Luke's Lobster, and Baron Fig. We'll also have episodes with no guests where we drill down into actionable steps you can take to start making progress.

This podcast isn't meant to be something interesting that passes the time. It's meant to help you build your startup.

We've been doing this for four years at Tacklebox, helping nearly 200 idea-stage founders build amazing companies. We've seen what it did for them, and we want to help do it for you.

Episodes come out each Tuesday, starting April 23rd.

Highly impactful strategies and tactics with a refreshing take on early-stage startups

Brian clearly knows his stuff, and I'm really finding myself looking forward to new episodes. The nice thing is that he's not speaking from one-off experiences working with just 1 or 2 businesses, but rather the dozens upon dozens that have gone through his Tacklebox accelerator.

And the added bonus- he shares stories of successful but lesser-known brands and founders you may not have heard about before. It's always nice to hear from folks that don't make the media rounds regularly :)
