How to Kill Sin with AI and Identify the 3 Sins in Poor Money Management

Today, on Karl and Crew, we dove deeper into our weekly theme of “Killing Sin” by discussing the importance of eradicating sin. We were all born into sin, so it’s the nature of our flesh to sin, but we aren’t bound to it because Jesus Christ delivered us from it. As followers of Christ, we are to cast down and kill the sin, which is precisely what God wants us to do. We turned to Proverbs 6:16-19, where we see how God feels about sin. We then examined Romans 12:1-2, where Paul instructs us to present our bodies as holy to God and not to be conformed to the world. Are you killing the sin in your life? Dr. Drew Dickens also joined us to discuss how Artificial Intelligence (AI) can help us overcome sin. Dr. Dickens is a visionary leader, AI expert, and scholar who has made significant contributions to the intersection of technology, spirituality, and faith-based engagement. He is also the founder of the Encountering Peace app and the Encounter Podcast, which provides biblical meditations, resources, and dialogue. Dr. Dickens has also authored the book “Whispers of the Spirit: A 40-Day Guide to Intimate Prayer.” We then had Rob West join us to discuss the three sins we need to overcome to achieve biblical financial stewardship: Greed, Fear, and Pride. Rob West is the host of the nationally syndicated radio program, Faith and Finance Live, which airs weekday afternoons at 3 pm on 90.1FM. He is also the host of the Faith and Finance podcast and the CEO of Kingdom Advisors, a community of financial professionals who deliver biblically wise financial advice. Supporting Cancer Patients and How to Disconnect Your Kids From the Screen

Today, on Karl and Crew, we kicked off the week with discussions about a cancer patient ministry with Phil Zielke and how to make the most of a screen-free summer with your kids, with Arlene Pellicane. First, Phil Zielke joined us to share his testimony of how he drew near to God when he was diagnosed with Stage 4B Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, and then how God placed it on his heart to start a ministry that serves cancer patients. Phil’s Friends is a ministry that provides Christ-centered support and hope to those affected by cancer. Then we had Arlene Pellicane join us to talk about the importance of parents connecting with their children by limiting their screen time. Arlene is a speaker, author, and host of the Happy Home podcast. She is also a marriage and parenting expert. Arlene has also authored several books, including “Screen Kids.” We then discussed our need for God’s grace. We were born into sin, so it is in our nature to be sinful, but when we are born again through Christ, we are renewed by God’s grace. Romans 7:18-25 affirms this, as Paul tells us that sin dwells within us and affects how we move and think without God. Only God can deliver us from sin through Jesus Christ. We also heard updates from Karl, who was broadcasting remotely from the Maranatha Bible Missionary Conference, Vacation and Retreat Center. Dr. Josh Stephens joined Karl to discuss the sovereignty and providence of God as shown throughout the book of Ruth. Dr. Stephens is the Lead Pastor of Cape Bible Church in Missouri and is also the founder and executive director of the Biblical Counseling Alliance. Our scripture reference was Revelation 3 and the Church of Laodicea. There are biblical reasons as to why God doesn't answer our prayers. If we know the reasons, we can avoid them. You Can't Change Yourself

Only when you celebrate your utter weakness before God can there be freedom. This awareness can lead to real change. It's found in Humility before God (I Peter 5:6), Proximity to Jesus (John 15), and the Liberty of the Holy Spirit (John 14 & 16, and Romans 8). Our special guest was David Gregory, who is an author, speaker, and blogger. He's the author of the NY Times bestseller "Dinner with a Perfect Stranger" and "One of Us". Also joining us was Shane Barnard. He is a recording artist, songwriter, producer, and founding member of the worship group Shane and Shane (along with friend Shane Everett). I've Always Been a Christian

Today, on Karl and Crew, we continued our weekly theme, "Debunking Myths, and we discussed the statement, "I've always been a Christian." We are not born Christians...we are born with our backs to God. True salvation is personal and life-changing, not hereditary. Special guests included Dr. Jed Coppenger, who is the lead pastor of First Baptist Church in Cumming, Georgia. He wrote the book "Fake Christianity: 10 Traps of an Inauthentic Faith and How to Avoid Them". Phil Zielke also joined us. He is the Founder and Executive Director of Phil's Friends, which is a ministry and outreach offering Christ-like hope and support to those going through cancer. Phil had Stage 4 cancer twice, and he shared his powerful testimony of coming to faith through that journey. His book is titled "Seeing the Good in It." Another guest was author, evangelist, speaker, and ministry leader Jay Lowder. He founded Jay Lowder Harvest Ministries, an organization dedicated to reaching diverse groups of people with the Gospel. Absolute Truth

Today, on Karl and Crew, we kicked off a new weekly theme, "Debunking Myths, and we discussed the statement, "There is no absolute Truth". One of our special guests was Rebecca McLaughlin. We highlighted her book, "Confronting Christianity: 12 Hard Questions for the World's Largest Religion", which was named book of the year by Christianity Today. Philip Miller, Senior Pastor of Moody Church in Chicago also joined us. He challenged us to flip absolute truths on themselves to see what myths stand firm and which ones fall short. Finally, Dr. Andy Bannister, Director of Solas, author, and speaker, unpacked the power of apologetics in absolute Truth. Our hearts are with Texas, and we spent time in deep prayer this morning as well. Edward Graham, Chief Operating Officer of Samaritan's Purse, gave us a special relief update from Texas.
