Overachievers and habits
This podcast is so practical and helpful! The episode from 3/20/23 called “Overachievers and Habits” was enlightening for me, and I’m not even vegan. :) She says, “It’s not about lowering standards so much as it is setting your goals and your standards of achievement around behaviors that serve you, not results that are fickle and latent anyway.” This kind of got me out of a mental rut with habits and motivation. I stumbled upon this program about a month ago. What a breath of fresh air. I LOVE this, and the insights indifferent approaches Chelsea provides are so refreshing and apt. I don’t know which of these programs are my favorite — they all just expand my mind.
Throughout it all, Chelsea adopts a “no excuses” approach to making important changes. One of her most compelling lines is “I don’t care if you like me.” She’s not here to tell you want you want to hear, but more what we all need to hear. The laziness factor that she describes is also very powerful and at the source of much of why we don’t change.
