Ep 71: From the archives: Can One Word Change Your Life? A New Year’s Eve Reflection

As the year comes to a close, I wanted to reshare a conversation that continues to resonate—especially during this time of year. This episode explores a simple question: Can one word change your life? Rather than setting long lists of resolutions, this approach invites reflection, clarity, and intention. A single word can act as a quiet compass—something to return to when things feel noisy or uncertain. I’m resharing this episode on New Year’s Eve as an invitation to pause. To reflect on what you’re ready to release from this past year, and what you might want to carry forward into the new one. There’s nothing to fix. Nothing to accomplish. Just space to listen and consider what feels meaningful for you. If a word begins to emerge, trust it. If not, that’s okay too. In this episode, Russell Rogers and I dive into the power of intention—and the incredible influence our words can have on how we live our lives. We talk about: Why a single word can be more effective than a New Year’s resolutionHow to choose your wordWays to thoughtfully incorporate your word into daily lifeWhether you’re reflecting on your physical health, relationships, or personal growth, this conversation offers practical ideas and gentle guidance to help make the year ahead more intentional and meaningful. As you know, this show is all about inspiring and supporting people to live longer, stronger, and more intentional lives. I’ve been using power words to guide my own year for some time now—and I truly believe in the process. I’ve seen the growth it can bring. Honestly, it’s kind of wild. If this episode resonates, consider sharing it with a friend or loved one who might appreciate a quieter, more grounded way to step into the New Year. Whether you’re listening for the first time or you’ve been here for a while, please know how much I appreciate you. Thank you for being part of this community—and for listening. 2. Ep 70: Becoming Enough: Adventurer Ted Jackson’s Story

Ep 70: Becoming Enough: Adventurer Ted Jackson’s Story

Are you honoring your inner adventurer? Today we explore that question in a powerful conversation with Ted Jackson — endurance athlete, director of the North Pole Marathon, and philanthropist known for his passion for extreme adventure. Ted has run seven marathons on seven continents in seven days. He’s rowed across the Atlantic Ocean — twice. He’s crossed the deserts of Chile, raced through the streets of Sydney, and raised significant awareness for Multiple Sclerosis. But despite these incredible achievements, Ted struggled to feel that he was truly enough. His journey through addiction, self-reflection, and healing eventually helped him realize that adventure isn’t just about the challenge — it’s about growth, resilience, and stepping outside our comfort zones. This conversation reminds us of the importance of pushing ourselves, embracing discomfort, and recognizing that the spirit of adventure is deeply wired into all of us. I hope it sparks something in you too! On a personal note — things are shifting a bit in my world. It’s summer, which means I’m spending more time outdoors, unplugging, and filling my creative cup. 06/10/2025

Ep 68: Expect Magic: Slowing Down, Tuning In, and Sacred Adventures with Elora Canne and Jude Kurten.

This week, I have the pleasure of talking with sister duo Elora (aka Cal Grant-Smith) Canne & Jude Kurten. Elora is an author. Jude is an energy healer. Together they shared a sacred adventure in the Australian Outback and wrote a book: Sisters in the Outback: An Uluru Adventure. They start out by discussing the significance of Uluru as an energy vortex, a living breathing, landscape, and its cultural and spiritual importance - and Jude reminds us to expect magic! Then we dive in and chat about: The importance of grounding oneself by walking barefoot and the connection they felt with nature. Being open to learning and leaning in to absorb the energy of the natural world. How we can begin to let go of the small, everyday irritations and be open to the flow of life…Elora and Jude also stress the importance of being intentional, slowing down, and taking our time as we move through the natural world. This episode is full of wisdom, practical strategies, and sage advice to help us all connect with the magic that’s all around us! Fun announcement!
