Alarming and disturbing

I hesitated to listen to this podcast given the subject matter, which is disturbing. But the relevance of the final dilemma, disgusting procedural mistakes that essentially aided and abetted the criminal, make this into one of the most important podcasts I have heard. We, as a society, have to do better, and this series implores that we do so.

Solid, balanced podcast.

This was a pretty good podcast. I appreciated the focus on the victim’s experience and analysis of the police investigation. I also felt that the reporter did a good job framing the culture and atmosphere of the time. No creepy grindhouse vibes.

People who say the podcast was “politically biased” or “left-leaning” are misguided in my opinion🙄. It is clear that the police messed up with their draconian views about rape and their egotistical pride. The truth is the truth. GSK wasn’t caught because he was mastermind, he wasn’t caught because the police couldn’t get their heads outta their butts, listen, and do their job. Nothing new. it’s because of these mistakes that modern forsenic science evolved. The podcaster were absolutely right for bringing that up.
