My favorite podcast for some humor while walking in the park!

This podcast hasn’t been enjoyable for almost a year now. What really ruins the show for myself and others is Katy, it’s clear the character development of the show was to center Katy and have Adam and Colbie as side characters to her “influencer life”. When in reality Katy’s life falls quite fall and short of glamorous and barely more than meek and boring. Her desperate attempt at claiming she has a hard and demanding career while on a podcast with two career orienteered professionals is so pathetic, esp needing to buy a block or whatever for her phone. She has no stories to share yet dictates the flow of the podcast and is constantly cutting off colbie and others while speaking. It’s been refreshing to see Colby’s and Adam get closer as roommates and the progression of their dating stories but also careers in nyc. It’s clear that they’ve gotten closer while Kathy locked herself up like rapunzel in a castle awaiting her only storyline (her British boyfriend) to come home from work. I think if the decision to end the podcast doesn’t come soon then you all should reflect, Adam should be more involved in the layout, have a recorded intro so that doesn’t distract you all 20 mins in, colbie hold her ground more and finish thoughts and don’t let herself be spoken over. Katy stop speaking, please think about how or why the most interesting thing you had to share about a New Year’s Eve wedding was jack getting a pair of underwear. Katy is grandma- personified, very boring, please find a hobby or go back to grad school or learn a language the fake attempt at intelligence through your randomly generated vocabulary sounds like Chat gbt. Is there even an email for submissions and no one is writing in or are you all not just reading them? Hope this doesn’t sound too harsh it’s just gotten too much

I truly feel like I am in this trio! I absolutely love tuning in every Friday morning with a coffee/ during my walks and listen to my internet friends chat and catch up. Thanks for making such an easy, enjoyable, and relatable podcast girls and Adam! Keep doing what you’re doing

In early episodes, I found that the three gave really helpful, nuanced dating advice. I don’t feel that as much now. What stands out more to me is Katy often putting Adam down. Katy seems to wait to jump on any of Adam’s minor mistakes—mispronunciations, mixing up cultural references, feigning total shock that he may not share a cultural touchstone from childhood, etc. It comes across as mean but also almost definitely comes from jealousy of Adam’s intelligence in areas that actually matter. There is also a lot to say about Katy’s hyper fixation on worrying about how people might perceive certain actions that really don’t matter at all. I think this shows narcissism more than empathy or perfectionism as she claims.
