I got to know people who knew Samantha Koenig

I just wanted to let the hosts know that the “coffee shop” Samantha was kidnapped from was a small, portable coffee trailer. Google the People magazine article. It has a picture. Picture a vivid blue trailer not much longer than a grounds worker’s trailer. These trailers were parked in parking lots. Portable and easily towed behind a truck. They were often manned by young, pretty 20-something women. Detached from stores and on their own.

To call Common Grounds a “coffee shop” would be to call a V.W. Bug a motorhome.

Excellent show

I wonder how Maura Murray’s family will feel the night of your live show. I wonder if they will appreciate the spotlight or if they will feel upset knowing people are having a good time and laughing while giving money to hear unconnected people discuss her. It’s one thing to have a podcast to highlight and bring attention, it’s another when people start to profit off just the conversation. I hope all proceeds are going to the family or a foundation assisting with the search.

Interesting information badly presented

I really wanted to like this podcast because it covers cases over multiple episodes that I hadn’t heard of or hadn’t heard about in a while. But the hosts do not know how to organize and tell that information. They don’t know how to guide the people they are interviewing and ask the right questions. I just keep finding myself frustrated that they aren’t telling the stories. Then there’s the editing. It’s not obvious when an episode is over, so I don’t know if I’ve gone into another episode, and all the musical segments are soooo long. The intro is also way too long. With so many episodes under their belt already, I don’t know how this stuff hasn’t improved.
