Ep. 200: Stephen Richards - "Ted Bundy of the Old West"

In 1879, 23-year-old Stephen Richards was arrested in his hometown of Mount Pleasant, Ohio - to where he fled after murdering a mother and three children in Nebraska. In the days that followed, he revealed at least nine murders at his hand. Because of his handsome face, charming demeanor and friendly smile, modern psychologists call him "Ted Bundy of the Old West."

Ep. 199 - The eyes of Charles Breuer

199 - The eyes of Charles Breuer
The Charles Breuer monument in Cincinnati's Spring Grove Cemetery has long been a destination for ghosthunters, but the urban legend attached to the 3D bust on his obelisk is nothing compared to the real story of a millionaire who destroyed his own life out of spite.

    Ep. 198 - Burr's Conspiracy

    Ep. 198 - Burr's Conspiracy

Three years after shooting Alexander Hamilton in a duel, former US vice president Aaron Burr was arrested for treason. President Jefferson suspected him of planning to take some US territories in the west, using boats he was building in Marietta, Ohio, and launching from Blennerhassett Island in the Ohio River. A jury would find Burr "not guilty," leaving historians to wonder what the heck Burr was up to.

What happened to Philip Taylor Kramer?

What happened to Philip Taylor Kramer?

Youngstown native Philip Taylor Kramer had success first as the bassist for the 1970s rock band Iron Butterfly, and then as a math and science prodigy working on government nuclear projects and then his own inventions. When he disappeared in 1995 from his California community, those who knew him were torn between whether he was a suicide risk, or had been abducted by people after his life's work.
