I just wish the episodes were longer than 35 minutes!

I always appreciated schratwieser’s reporting and despite being a former comms man for NJ State Law enforcement he seemed to make efforts to explicitly bring up pertinent information that was or would likely be the opposing sides rebuttal argument.

But like so much we’ve seen in this is chaos era of disinformation, intellectual dishonesty and bad faith - Professional and Respected crime reporter and journalist Dave
Schratwieser has shown himself to be disingenuous. He’s Davey from strong island wasn’t strong enough to resist the propaganda and revealed his lack critical thought and integrity. Like so many he worked decades building a reputation and choose to throw it all away.

His latest episode regarding the search warrant served at former President Donald Trump’s compound is so dishonest and sycophantic . I say this is someone who former republican now independent(never a dem).

There is too much to rebut in this small review so I’ll just highlight a few bullet points.
Point of reference - because with all these stories the facts, dates, timelines become muddled as a time goes on - this is a key objective of disinformation/misinformation as it creates false equivalencies as it corrodes facts and ultimately truth over time. I am writing this review on Saturday August 13, 2022. The search -Monday August 8th 2022- search warrant executed
-Thursday August 11 2022 - US AG Merrick Garland press conference
-Friday August 12th2022 - Public unsealing of Search warrant by DOJ after court motion which was unopposed by Trump, Trump Org., et al

This episode was released Friday August 13th 2022. Important to note it is Not clear when it was recorded and that is key because the public known confirmed facts and current narratives shifted every 12 hours as a information battle ensued by right wing media/ main stream media / left wing media and involved parties trump camp & law enforcement media surrogates(mostly former federal prosecutors and former Nat. Security) professionals and Nat. Sec. Attorneys).

-The attorney Leonard is a clearly a trump fan who has ZERO experience in National security matters. His ignorance is profound and obvious to anyone who understands.
-Leonard makes a completely bad faith arguement about “waiting for the facts” when it comes to Trumps actions, nature of the documents(classification), contents of the documents, timeline of events regarding communication between trump and Federal officials.
-Leonard repeatedly lies. There were no “theatrics”, there was no swat team, assault weapons(only officials seen with weapons who were at the compound entrance to provide security of the compound. Furthermorn it is unclear if they were even FBI and not secret service, private security etc.
-Leonard lies claiming the timeline went from negotiations to a raid. He claims he would be “livid” and would have expected am intermediary step of a Supeona or order from an authority(court). A supeona was in fact issued in June and according to the government, Trump still didn’t fully comply.
-“Obama did the same thing”. Ah, yes, where would we be without at least one ‘whataboutism’ dishonest arguement.
Schratwieser lies and also demonstrates his laziness with this repeated line. The documents in question were not taken by Obama they were taken For the Obama library and currently are and have always been in full control and possession of the National Archives. Davey claims “according to multiple media reports” translation Trumps twitter-knock off Truth media post by Trump.
The national archives released a public statement about this but Davey was too entranced by Fox News to actually put in the work of researching his claims.
-Schratwiser is embarrassingly ignorant about the classification process and even his reading skills. The search warrant clearly states multiple boxes of classified, Secret, Top Secret AND TP/SC.
-The reason Roger stones pardon was taken was because it had attached classified information because among the many crimes of Stone he had apparently been using this documents for some kind of political maneuver. One of the attached classified docs was the material relating to SIGINT - intercepted electronic communications of French President Manuel Macron.
-Schratwieser speaks up on the harsh treatment of attorneys having to wait outside in the heat and the country club. My heart breaks for them, truly. However, they are adults and could have chosen to go wait in the clubhouse, at the restaurant, in a hotel room, by the pool or perhaps a cabana on the bay. They were not allowed in the storage room while the agents were searching for documents. This was a peak cringe comment that really sums up what a hack Dave Schratwieser is and what a mindless Fox News junky he is.
If he had an integrity he would be embarrassed by his complete dishonest manipulation of his audience. I’ve listened to every episode of Philly prime and even subscribed to his subscription site but no longer. Integrity, honor and honesty mean something to me.

I listen to a lot of OC podcasts, my favorites are the ones hosted by seasoned veteran journalists and this is a great example of one. Thanks for the entertainment!
