Before You Pay $1,000 for a Meta Ads Course, Yousaf Has Some Advice

There are more people than ever trying to break into paid advertising — and plenty of courses promising to get you there fast. In this episode of PPC with YRV Dynamics, Yousaf Yunes breaks down a program promising to help people land their first paid Meta Ads client in just four weeks. The problem? Much of the training appears to focus on video editing and creative production rather than actually learning how to manage paid media. Yousaf discusses the difference between creating ads and actually knowing how to buy media, including campaign structure, audiences, acquisition, remarketing, retargeting, optimization, and understanding why campaigns perform the way they do. He also looks at some of the bigger promises being made to beginners, the contradictions that can show up in marketing these programs, and why learning paid ads isn't something you should expect to master overnight. If you're trying to get into PPC, Meta Ads, media buying, or performance marketing, this episode is a reminder to understand exactly what you're paying to learn — and whether it actually prepares you to manage a client's advertising budget. Breaking Down Someone’s Performance Marketing Interview with Yousaf Yunes

In this episode of PPC with YRV Dynamics, Yousaf Yunes discusses questions from someone’s performance marketing interview and shares how he would approach answering them based on practical experience. The interview covered a range of important topics, including campaign management, conversion tracking, funnel analysis, creative testing, audience targeting and performance optimization. Yousaf Yunes breaks down the questions and explains why performance marketing involves more than simply launching campaigns and monitoring metrics such as clicks, CTR and CPC. A strong performance marketer also needs to understand what happens after the click, including whether conversions are being tracked correctly, where users are dropping out of the funnel and which parts of the customer journey may be affecting results. The discussion also covers metrics such as add-to-cart, initiate checkout, CPA, ROAS and conversion rate, along with the importance of reviewing landing pages, product feeds, offers, shipping costs and creative assets. Yousaf Yunes also compares the signals available in Google Ads and Meta Ads, discusses how to approach campaign scaling and explains why testing is important before moving new creative into evergreen campaigns. Overall, this episode provides a practical breakdown of the performance marketing interview questions someone was asked and highlights the broader skills required to manage campaigns effectively. Buying a $2M Agency in 2026: What I’d Check First

In this episode of PPC with YRV Dynamics, I break down a question that a lot of agency owners and buyers are going to be asking in 2026: Is buying a digital marketing agency still a smart investment with AI changing SEO and marketing so quickly? The agency in question generates roughly $2 million in revenue, with about 85% coming from recurring retainers, serving mostly local SMBs, home service companies, contractors, and real estate businesses. A major concern is that roughly half of the agency's revenue comes from SEO retainers. I discuss why traditional SEO is changing rather than disappearing, including the move toward AEO and GEO, local authority, community involvement, PR, reviews, and becoming the business that AI engines actually recommend. I also look at what I would personally examine before buying an agency: client longevity, recurring revenue, year-over-year performance, margins, pricing, churn, and whether the agency's biggest clients are likely to stay after ownership changes. The bigger takeaway: AI is a tool, not a replacement for experienced marketers. The agencies that combine human expertise with AI instead of trying to replace expertise with AI may actually become more valuable. Google Ads ROAS Dropped? 10 Things to Check Before You Panic

When Google Ads ROAS suddenly drops, the worst thing you can do is start changing everything without knowing what actually caused it. In this episode of PPC with YRV Dynamics, Yousaf Yunes breaks down the key areas he checks when performance starts slipping — from conversion tracking and revenue reporting to CPCs, search terms, conversion rates, AOV, margins, product mix, and recent campaign changes. Yousaf also explains why search term reporting is becoming more important as match types continue to broaden, why a great ROAS can still hide bad margins, and why product images, headlines, and descriptions can have a bigger impact than advertisers realize. Most importantly, sometimes the right optimization is not making another change. Give the data enough time to tell you whether you have a real problem or simply a bad week before pulling another lever. Shopify Optimizations for Google Ads: Part Duex

Getting traffic, Add to Carts, and even checkout starts from Google Ads — but still not enough Shopify purchases? In this episode of PPC with YRV, Yousaf Yunes of YRV Dynamics goes deeper into the Shopify conversion funnel and explains why advertisers need to look beyond the usual: Product View → Add to Cart → Begin Checkout → Purchase There are important steps in between that can tell you exactly where customers are getting stuck. Yousaf breaks down why you should also pay attention to: Payment method activity — are people reaching the payment stage and then abandoning? Shipping information — are customers disappearing once they see shipping costs or delivery times? Product photography — stop relying on boring supplier-style photos. Show the product being used and make people actually want it. Product headlines and descriptions — your product page needs to sell the product just like your ad creative does. Reviews and social proof — people need to trust the store before they hand over their money. Shipping costs — free shipping may feel normal now, but unexpected or expensive shipping can still destroy conversion rates. Delivery speed — a great price means a lot less if the customer has to wait two weeks for the product. Guest checkout and payment options — make it easy to buy with options like PayPal, Apple Pay, and guest checkout. Yousaf also explains why Shopify, Merchant Center, and Google Ads need to work together. Your product images, titles, descriptions, pricing, and product data start in Shopify, feed into Google Merchant Center, and eventually become part of what Google Ads uses to sell your products. If the foundation is weak in Shopify, you can’t expect Google Ads to magically fix it. The big takeaway: Don’t just track Add to Cart, Begin Checkout, and Purchase. Look at the entire customer journey and figure out exactly where the friction starts. Sometimes the campaign isn’t the problem. Sometimes the customer wanted to buy — and your Shopify store gave them a reason not to. Google Ads Getting Clicks but No Sales? Check These 5 Shopify Funnel Problems

Getting traffic from Google Ads but not seeing enough Shopify sales? Before blaming the campaign, keywords, bidding strategy, or traffic quality, take a closer look at what happens after someone clicks your ad. In this episode, Yousaf Yunes of YRV Dynamics breaks down five common Shopify conversion funnel scenarios and what each one can tell you about where the real problem is. We cover: Good traffic but low product views — check landing page speed, mobile experience, redirects, pop-ups, and whether the ad actually matches the page. Good product views but low Add to Cart — look at pricing, your offer, reviews, social proof, product descriptions, shipping, returns, inventory, and why someone should buy from you instead of a competitor. Good Add to Cart but low checkout starts — investigate unexpected shipping costs, delivery times, taxes, cart distractions, free-shipping thresholds, express checkout, and mobile usability. Good checkout starts but low purchases — check payment failures, missing PayPal or Apple Pay, guest checkout, discount-code issues, shipping surprises, delivery estimates, and trust messaging. Good purchase volume but weak revenue — look beyond ROAS and analyze AOV, margins, COGS, upsells, cross-sells, bundles, product mix, and new versus returning customers. The main takeaway: more traffic will not fix a broken conversion funnel. If 100 people start checkout and very few purchase, buying another 1,000 clicks probably isn't the answer. Diagnose where customers are dropping out, fix that stage of the funnel, and then use Google Ads to send more traffic into something that's actually built to convert. When an Upwork “Interview” Becomes Free Consulting

In this episode, I talk about why I’m becoming more cautious with Upwork and why freelancers and agencies need to pay attention to what they’re actually getting for the money they spend on the platform. Upwork used to be one of my strongest sources of business, but between Connects, fees, increased competition, and lower-quality opportunities, the economics have changed a lot. I also break down a recent job post where the client asked applicants extremely detailed questions about Meta campaign management, troubleshooting, ROAS, CPA, creative testing, and real campaign results—before even offering an interview. At some point, there’s a difference between evaluating someone’s expertise and asking experienced marketers to hand over their strategy for free. Upwork can still produce clients, and I’m still using it, but I’m dialing it back and putting more energy into building my own acquisition channels through paid media, organic content, and direct funnels. The bigger lesson: don’t let any single platform control where your next client comes from.   Follow our PPC with YRVDynamics YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@YRV_Dynamics Our PPC with YRVDynamics WhatsApp Group Click here Follow me on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/yousaf-yunes/   #yousafyunes #YRVDynamics #PPC #PPCexpert #GoogleAds #MetaAds #PaidMedia #DigitalMarketing #PPCMarketing #PerformanceMarketing #Upwork #UpworkFreelancer #Freelancing #Freelancer #MarketingAgency #DigitalMarketingAgency #AgencyOwner #AgencyLife #Entrepreneur #Entrepreneurship #BusinessGrowth #LeadGeneration #ClientAcquisition #MarketingStrategy #Advertising #OnlineAdvertising #MetaAdvertising #GoogleAdsExpert #PPCAgency #MarketingPodcast

SEO Isn't Dead: Understanding AEO, GEO and the Future of Organic Search

In this episode of PPC with YRV, Yousaf Yunes breaks down the growing differences between SEO, AEO, and GEO and explains why SEO is not dead — it is simply becoming more specialized. Just as paid media has developed into specialties like Search, YouTube, CTV, and Performance Max, organic visibility is now expanding beyond traditional search rankings. Yousaf explains SEO as the traditional battle for rankings across platforms like Google, Bing, Yahoo, and DuckDuckGo. SEO is still built around keywords, content, technical optimization, local SEO, search intent, and earning organic visibility. The easiest way to remember it is: SEO = rank me. AEO, or Answer Engine Optimization, is about becoming part of the actual answer instead of simply appearing as another result. That includes creating strong FAQ content, conversational answers, clear definitions, useful expertise, and content that can appear across Google AI Overviews, People Also Ask, Copilot Search, voice assistants, and other AI-powered search experiences. Yousaf puts it simply: AEO = answer with me. GEO, or Generative Engine Optimization, takes things another step further. The goal is to have your business, expertise, products, or content mentioned or recommended by generative AI platforms such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, and Microsoft Copilot. Brand mentions, expert content, reviews, reputation, third-party authority, and consistent information across the web all play a role. Yousaf Yunes also explains how podcasts, YouTube videos, articles, case studies, and other expert content can support all three disciplines at the same time. Content that demonstrates expertise can help traditional SEO, provide answers that support AEO, and strengthen the brand associations that generative AI systems may use when deciding who to mention. Using YRV Dynamics as an example, the episode shows the difference clearly. SEO means the agency appears prominently when someone searches for a PPC agency. AEO means YRV Dynamics becomes part of the direct answer to a PPC-related question. GEO means someone asks ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, or another AI assistant for a recommendation and the agency is actually mentioned. The biggest takeaway from Yousaf Yunes is simple: businesses should not think about SEO versus AEO versus GEO. They should think about how all three work together to build visibility, authority, and trust across traditional search and AI-powered discovery.
