Single Malt Strategy

I had to give these guys a positive review when they dropped more than two episodes in one month. Happy to see them get through 60% of their yearly content. The banter, topics, fluid flow, and singular uniqueness of a show dedicated to strategy gaming makes this a ‘must listen.’ Nowhere else can you hear a group of middle-age men talk about games that no one played, even when rewinding into the 90s. PS I never thought I’d live to see the day when THG became the cantankerous old man of the group with the bad takes. Or at least he’s not hiding it anymore. PSS if you can’t tell I’m kidding, this is my favorite podcast and I honestly wish it was weekly in two hour episodes

While it doesn’t seem to get a lot of press, I find this show to be a true sleeper hit! The discussions stay fluidly on track, and the information they provide is deep and insightful. Most importantly though, they make me want to play PC wargames! This is a niche show, but one of the best in its area.

This show is an underrated gem. Jean and Matt both know a decent amount about strategy war games and the slower, longer pace of the show is refreshing compared to other more compact podcasts on the same subject. The two hosts play off each other hilariously and all in all this has become one of my favorite podcasts.
