Well, not only do I interview Annie in this conversation, but she also interviews me. So much for keeping myself out of the spotlight, eh? :-)
Annie and I talk about burnout, boundaries, confidence, automation, and detaching your worth from your work. Enjoy our conversation!

Customer Reviews
Actionable tips and resources galore!
After being a stay at home parent for 7 years, I went back into an EA role for a company and an executive that had never had an EA before. I was equally terrified and excited! I needed training, tips and resources which is exactly what I found in this podcast. I recommend The Leader Assistant podcast and book to assistants in my network.
Just started but good so far
I would be careful about language about executives. It’s always “he/him/his” assuming it’s always a man in “power”. Would encourage guests and host to be aware of gender bias.
A valuable resource!
I have found The Leader Assistant podcast a valuable resource and enjoy the variety of people Jeremy interviews. No matter what the guest's background or current role is, there is always a relatable tidbit or inspiration. I really enjoyed episode 202 with Cath Harrison. It is really inspirational that she started her business out of necessity during the start of the pandemic and has quickly learned that she gets to choose the tasks she offers. I had a similar experience in starting my own business and found a lot of freedom in niching down to our zone of genius. Episode 187 with Jamie Vanek was really helpful for me as I am building my management team. I've been practicing delegating so that I can focus on business development instead of the day-to-day tasks. It was really helpful when she pointed out that delegation isn't just assigning a task to someone, it is also empowering them to make decisions. I would highly recommend The Leader Assistant Podcast to anyone in the assistant role. Whether you are just starting out or have years of experience, the insights and advice shared on this podcast are informative and empowering. Jeremy is an excellent host, and his guests offer a wealth of knowledge and experience.
