Birth Story 50: Allegra’s Empowering VBAC After Traumatic Twin C-Section
In this episode of the MamasteFit Podcast's Birth Story Fridays, Allegra shares her journey through two vastly different birth experiences. Her first, an unplanned C-section at 34 weeks for her twins, left her feeling unsupported and led to a traumatic postpartum recovery complicated by COVID-19 protocols and a retained placenta. Determined for a different outcome with her second pregnancy, Allegra prepared extensively for a vaginal birth after Cesarean (VBAC). From switching providers, engaging in prenatal fitness, to detailed birth planning and employing basically every recommended trick in the book, Allegra's second birth was an empowered hospital VBAC at 41 weeks with an epidural.

Customer Reviews
Informative & empowering!
Wow!! I such a big fan!! I am an L&D RN, doula, and childbirth educator. I highly recommend this podcast to anybody who is desiring high quality, valuable information to help them have a an empowering pregnancy & birth experience!!
Excellent programs & resources
I had a C - Section with my first child and wanted to have a VBACK with my second child. I bought the mini prenatal program and the Labor Position webinar besides watching their free resources and with the help of my doctor, my physical therapist and Mamastefit’s programs I had a successful VBACK even though the odds were low! I was always told I’m too petite and small and that my hips will never fit a child. However, it fit a 7 lb + child with a short labor (including only 30 minutes of pushing). I am so happy to recommend Mamastefit’s programs and resources. I know that if I had to a c section, I’d still recommend their programs because my recovery has been much better since I learned how to take care of my body pre and post partum. :)
Birth stories!
Love the birth stories. Two years ago I had a vaginally breech homebirth that was beautiful and peaceful. It’s a long, amazing story so I can’t type it all here, but it was the best experience of my life. It’s amazing to hear other stories from moms who have gone through similar situations.
