Imagine waking up every morning driven by your purpose, serving the type of clients and customers who value your work. Purpose is powerful, y'all. It's what drives us everyday to do the work that we do and serve our clients and team well. If you're struggling in your creative business right now-- I want you to ask yourself this question: why do you do what you do?

It's not an easy question to answer by most entrepreneurs and we believe it's where most problems in business stem from. If you're struggling on business strategy, marketing, team building, sales -- aka ALL.THE.THINGS -- than it's likely you haven't connected with your purpose. But there's no need to fret-- you've come to the right place.

Entrepreneurs who lead with their purpose are more successful, less likely to burn out, and deeply connected to why they do what they do.

The Power in Purpose Podcast explores the unique stories behind some of the most successful creative entrepreneurs. How did they discover their purpose? What were they doing before they found success? How do they live and work each day on purpose, serving their customers better than any of their competition? What business lessons do they have to teach us?

Purpose is the ♥ behind why we do what we do. As we uncover these unique stories, let’s uncover YOUR purpose too.

048 | Jamie Kutchman Wynne on How The Fires In Our Business Become Our Greatest Strength

048 | Jamie Kutchman Wynne on How The Fires In Our Business Become Our Greatest Strength

Jamie Kutchman Wynne built a gifting company from the spare bedroom of her home into a successful, industry renowned business that serves couples, companies and clients all over the world.
But what happens when a fire threatens the business you’ve built?
Jamie Kutchman Wynne, owner and founder of Marigold & Grey (a DMV based gifting company) first recognized the need for her business when creating welcome gifts for her own 2012 destination wedding. She struggled to find unique items to include in the gifts and, on top of that, the execution was a disaster. (Imagine the hectic nature of wedding weekend and gifts ending up at the wrong hotels where guests weren’t even staying...embarrassing!)
Two years later, she got up the nerve to quit her successful corporate career and take a chance on creating precisely the business she wished had existed back when she needed it most.
What began as a wedding-focused business has rapidly expanded into corporate event and client appreciation gifting. In just a few short years, Jamie outgrew her spare bedroom with almost a dozen employees and hundreds of customers a year.
In the fall of 2019, Jamie got one of the worst phone calls of her life. Her 6,000 square foot warehouse was on fire–and everything she had built was at risk of burning down.
This episode of The Power in Purpose podcast explores what happens when outside circumstances threaten to upend everything you’ve spent years building… and how to come out the other side stronger than ever.
On Today’s episode of The Power in Purpose Podcast:

    BONUS: A Conversation on Values

    BONUS: A Conversation on Values

Before we start back with releasing new episodes, I wanted to take a few minutes to talk to you about values. Because values, in business, are important. I believe you should never question the values of the people you invite into your life and business–the people who you’ve chosen to learn from–as you navigate this bumpy road of entrepreneurship.
I want you to know that I believe Black Lives Matter. I want you to know that diversity and inclusion are values of mine both personally, and professionally. We have collectively had conversations (both online + offline) about race and racism, and these conversations are important and we must continue to create spaces where they can live. That is what I want to do on this show and on my platform.
The Power in Purpose podcast was created as a space to tell the stories of successful entrepreneurs who are doing big things in their businesses–big things guided by one principle: purpose. And we will continue to do just that and continue to bring diversity to the show.
Tune in to hear more of my heart and what I have learned and unlearned over the last few weeks.

046 | How to Get Things Done Using The Science of Habits

046 | How to Get Things Done Using The Science of Habits

Today we’re talking about habits. And it’s such a timely topic because most of us have been stuck at home and stitch with our bad (and good!) habits. Not to mention, we are also approaching the half-way-mark of 2020, you’re 6 months into our goals.
Fun fac:  Did you know it’s been scientifically proven that it takes 66 days to form a new habit? 66 DAYS! No wonder all our new year's resolutions have an 80% FAILURE RATE.
This show is all about challenging the way you have been doing things (aka your habits), and pushing you to try new ways of doing things (aka creating new habits).
There is a lot we can unpack about habits, but I am going to share 2 things that are going to you this month - and in the long run.
On Today’s episode of The Power in Purpose Podcast:
Why it is important to be all in for 66 days (yes 66 days!) to forming a new habit The power of having grace on yourself as you establish new habits  How you can keep a sharp focus on a few things, instead of everything.  Thanks for tuning into today’s episode of The Power in Purpose Podcast.
