Navigating a Neurotypical World with a Neurodivergent Mind. Talking to people about the pitfalls and triumphs of being neurodivergent in their careers, passions, and life.

I'm Stefan Glazer, diagnosed with severe inattentive ADHD and GAD at 39. I grew up thinking I was lazy, didn't try hard enough, or even that I was "stupid". However, it was the diagnosis that was a turning point in my life and led me down a path of self re-discovery. I created tools that worked for me in my lifetime, refining them to work with my mind.

It's okay to take a break. See you all soon.

It's okay to take a break. See you all soon.

Just as I've written about it in my articles on Medium. I want to remind everyone it's okay to take a break and refocus on what you're doing. I looked to return late spring early summer 2024. Thank you all for listening and always remember you're not alone.

This episode comes to you from the side of the Sandia mountains, at almost 9,000 ft, semi out of breath, with nothing but love and I care for you all.

Thank you and see you soon!

    Bye for now.

Executive Function - Part 3 - Task Initiation

Executive Function - Part 3 - Task Initiation

This is a series on Executive Function that I have recorded. I am taking a bit of each, piece by piece, explaining it, and getting you some tips on how to navigate it.

This will be an ongoing mini-series in the midst of doing all the other episodes that I have created.

Once I get through the first few episodes of this series, we'll have regular guests come back and tell their stories.

I just needed to create this to get more people aware of the issues we face with Executive Function.

Ep. 61 - Dr. Rita Louise - "Dang! It Was Me All Along?"

Ep. 61 - Dr. Rita Louise - "Dang! It Was Me All Along?"

It was my honor to have Dr. Rita Louise on the podcast today. I was excited for a few reasons. I had originally listened to her on George Noory's Coast to Coast AM and seen her on Gaia TV!

    Takeaways

Practicing mindfulness and breathwork can help cultivate inner peace and happiness.
Neurodivergent individuals may face challenges such as dyslexia and dyscalculia, but these differences do not define their worth or abilities.
It is important to create a supportive and inclusive environment for neurodivergent individuals, understanding and accepting their unique minds.
Pronunciation challenges can be overcome by seeking assistance and finding alternative ways to communicate effectively. Object blindness is a phenomenon associated with ADHD, where individuals have difficulty perceiving or finding objects that are right in front of them.
Neurodivergent individuals often develop their own coping skills and tend to be creative.
Psychic abilities can be discovered and developed through practice and awareness.
Everyone has intuitive moments, and paying attention to them can lead to positive outcomes.
No one is alone in their struggles, and support is available.

A little about Dr. Rita Louise:

“Fran Dresher’s delivery without the whine”, is how one audience member put Dr. Rita Louise’s frank, funny yet honest approach. Dr. Rita Louise is the Founder of the Institute Of Applied Energetics and former host of Just Energy Radio. She is the author of the books The Dysfunctional Dance Of The Empath And Narcissist, Stepping Out Of Eden, ET Chronicles: What Myth And Legend Have To Say About Human Origin, Avoiding The Cosmic 2X4, Dark Angels: An Insider’s Guide To Ghosts, Spirits & Attached Entities and The Power Within: A Psychic Healing Primer as well as hundreds of articles that have been published worldwide. Dr. Rita has appeared on film, radio, television and has spoken at conferences around the world covering topics such as health and healing, relationships, ghosts, intuition, ancient mysteries and the paranormal.

Be sure to check out her latest book: "Dang! It Was Me All Along?"

Ep. 60 - Trina Lucas - Spirit Based Therapies

Ep. 60 - Trina Lucas - Spirit Based Therapies

Are you ready for a magical time with my guest Trina Lucas? We sat and talked about a lot of different aspects of being neurodivergent, being gifted, and life as a spiritual healer.

Receiving a diagnosis can provide validation and a sense of relief for neurodivergent individuals.
Finding one's passion and embracing hyperfocus can lead to a fulfilling and purposeful life.
Navigating a neurotypical world can be challenging, but self-acceptance and respect for differences are key.
Authenticity is important, but masking can be necessary for self-protection and energy preservation. Respect others' beliefs and avoid imposing spiritual information on them without their consent.
Meditation can be a valuable tool for neurodivergent individuals, helping them build presence and connect with their inner selves.
Past life regression and quantum healing hypnosis technique can provide insights and healing for individuals.
Energetic healing can be effective for pets, helping them overcome fears and anxieties.
Belief plays a significant role in healing, and it is important to find approaches that work for each individual.
Holistic medicine, which includes both Western medicine and spiritual medicine, can offer comprehensive healing.
Trina offers various resources, courses, and a membership group to support individuals on their spiritual journey.
Shedding density and raising vibration can lead to a deeper connection with one's spirit and a more fulfilling life.
Spirituality should be integrated into medicine, as it is an essential aspect of human existence.
Understanding neurodivergence from a spiritual perspective can provide new insights and support for individuals.

    In her own words:

"I am autistic, ADHD, CPTSD, PDA and gifted. These are my official diagnoses. I was diagnosed when I turned 50 years old. I always new, and part of the reason I decided to get an official diagnosis is because of my work as a Spiritual Healer. I work with neurodivergent children and when I tell their parents I too am neurodivergent the relief and hope experienced by the parents is wonderful. My clients know I run a flourishing booked 6-12 months in advance practice and have done so for 26 years, thus they feel more confident their children can find a happy and successful path through their lives too."

Eye Opening

I dived into podcast from a recommendation. The episodes are extremely eye-opening and I have found that I’ve learned a lot through them. Thanks Stefan!

Everything's Messy Podcast ,

This!

As someone who is married to one with ADHD and has children on the spectrum, this is so helpful. First it allows me to see into the future of what it might look like for them and also how I can help and understand all they walk through. Great podcast!
