Growing up I was taught a "woman's place" in the kingdom of God was in the kitchen or as a doormat. After leaving the environment I was raised in, I learned that God had bigger plans for me. I've found healing through, therapy, relationships, and sharing my story of survival. Have you ever wondered why you find yourself gravitating to stressful situations that you KNOW are not healthy?  Growing up in my home, abuse and stressful situations were a daily norm. I was also taught at a young age that, "Idle hands were the devil's workshop."     I have yet to see someone who wears a t-shirt that says, "I am in therapy for anger management." It's not something most of us want to talk about. It's uncomfortable and unfortunately there is often a stigma that comes with getting help for our mental health struggles.
