I’ve read quite a few things about homeschooling methods and have tried many, but when learning gets tough and there is strain with my kids, I refer to this podcast. Without fail, Amy’s collection of interviews and insights put me back to center and helps me focus on really counts. I love how happy, loving and relaxed the families are in the interviews, it instantly centers and calms me and sometimes makes me cry thinking how what these families are doing is EXACTLY how I want to parent and live with my family. Beautifully put together: I have yet to find a better resource in helping me find confidence and calm in myself and education for my kids. Thank you!!!
Hands down my favorite unschooling podcast!!!

I love the “subject” format, incredibly easy listening style, and the wonderful content. So inspiring, empowering, and encouraging!! Thank you for such a wonderful resource. I have shared this with many other families!
Invaluable and to the point

I really enjoyed these manageable podcast episodes as we proceeded through our deschooling. I share these episodes with family members curious about what we are doing. My kids and I listened to many of them together to discuss - really helping us on our own unschooling journey.
Love it

I’m extremely new to unschooling and this podcast was especially helpful. Would definitely recommend this podcast. The only thing I haven’t found is tips on how to be a successful unschooling parent when one is EXTREMELY introverted (gets their energy from being alone. Gets easily tired by being out and about).
LOVE IT!!!

I am sooo happy I came across this podcast. I am currently unschooling my daughter, but had few questions and concerns ever parent has for their child's future. I learned so much from all the interviews. I have a much better understanding on what unschooling truly means. I just hope I will be as good as I envision it. Thank you Amy for taking your time and making this for us.
The Perfect Introduction to Unschooling

This is an excellent podcast. It is very well put together, and the content is useful and inspiring. I would recommend it to any homeschooling parent, and especially to anyone considering homeschooling. There are lots of misconceptions about unschooling, and this podcast—even if one listens to just the first few episodes—goes a long way to dispelling them. I am personally convinced, after my second year (formally) homeschooling, and several years educating myself about it, that some form of unschooling is both the easiest and most effective way to assure that one’s children develop their talents and become the healthiest, happiest, and productive people they can be. This podcast very effectively explains to the uninitiated why a conviction like mine is at least plausible.
Well organized, short episodes

Our family enjoyed listening to this podcast during our journey of transitioning to a more relaxed, individualized learning process. While it didn't convert us enough to use the Unschool label, it did help my husband understand my casual approach to early learning and the lack of formal textbooks as they got older. Or, maybe we are Unschoolers since everything our children work on has been chosen by them; As the parents we help direct and expose them to new and interesting things. Either way, we are all happily learning now!
helpful and inspirational

I love this podcast, each one is just the right length, good for listening to in the car or while folding laundry. The whole series covers a range of topics with interviews with a variety of people, different ages, different parts of the world, different backgrounds. I learned from listening to them and was also inspired. It’s nice hearing from families choosing a similar path.
I love this podcast

The best thing I can say about this podcast is that I listen and re-listen and re-listen to the episodes, and every listen garners something new. It’s a very comforting podcast when your brain feels scattered about your homeschool choices. I recommend it to anyone wanting to learn more about unschooling, current unschoolers who need a booster, or anyone interested in real people with real children who are learning through life experiences. <3
