    How we argue for our limitations

    One of the most subtle ways we keep ourselves stuck is by arguing for our limitations. We present evidence. We explain the history. We list all the reasons something won’t work. And we do it so convincingly that it starts to feel like fact. In this episode, I break down a powerful coaching moment with a client who kept insisting she didn’t know how, wasn’t confident enough, and had never been able to do it before. But those statements weren’t facts — they were arguments for staying exactly where she was. I will explain why I will never agree with a client’s limitations, why waiting for confidence is a trap, and how people unknowingly build a case for a smaller life.     There is nothing wrong with you
