One man's journey as a school leader

I only recently got into Jethro's podcast and soon found myself hooked. I started from the beginning and quickly made it through his first year and a half. Each episode is short enough to string a few together on a long walk, drive or workout. I've learned plenty of practical tips, but feel I've gained the most from the positive and persistent outlook he and his guests present. I've noticed the immediate transfer of this knowledge and emotion in the tone with which I am able to communicate with staff and students, resonating as professional, inquisitive, optimistic and intuitively, student focused.
Jethro hits the nail on the head emphasizing building relationships with teachers and fostering shared vision amongst their ranks. These two areas I feel embody the craft of transformative school leaders. In recent episodes, Jethro has articulated his vision for the podcast and his team of school leaders. He persuades listeners to start small and affect change in practical ways. For example, getting regular sleep and making time to connect intimately with those in his closest circle (wife and kids) who foster love and acceptance. I assume his intention is to galvanize potential for good vibes and a caring spirit to spill out of us and into all of our relationships. I sincerely look forward to following Jethro and the school leaders he connects with his audience. Thanks J for the service you're providing.

A Real Leader!

Jethro is an amazing person! What a great asset he is to all the students and staff. I wish I had a principal like him when I was in school. He is what an educator should be and sets students and staff up for success. I really enjoy listening to all the different perspectives from the people he interviews.
